Oga lawlessness doesn't have anything to do with economic growth.I was in senior secondary when obasajo was president of Nigeria,he was a very lawless president, but his achievements in the economy can't be matched by any presidents after him.
Eyaaa. Why not ask me how it affects the economy instead?πŸ˜‚
Edited: related that to the government

Decline in Investment – Investors avoid regions with high crime and weak legal enforcement due to the risk of losing their capital. This reduces foreign direct investment (FDI) and local investments.

Reduced Business Confidence – Unstable environments discourage entrepreneurship, as businesses fear theft, extortion, and corruption, making long-term planning difficult.

Loss of Government Revenue – Illegal activities such as tax evasion, smuggling, and corruption reduce government tax collection, limiting funds for infrastructure and public services.

Increased Cost of Doing Business – Companies must spend more on private security, legal disputes, and insurance, increasing operational costs and reducing profitability.

Brain Drain and Workforce Instability – Skilled professionals and laborers migrate to safer environments, leading to a shortage of talent and lower productivity.

Disruption of Supply Chains – Theft, vandalism, and instability in transport networks disrupt the movement of goods and services, affecting trade and economic output.

Poor Infrastructure Development – Lawlessness leads to misallocation of public resources and discourages investment in infrastructure, further hindering economic growth.

Growth of the Informal Economy – In lawless environments, more people engage in unregulated economic activities, reducing tax revenues and limiting worker protections.

Devaluation of Assets – Property and land values decline in unsafe areas, reducing wealth accumulation and economic expansion.

Erosion of Public Trust – When the legal system is weak, people lose confidence in institutions, leading to economic inefficiencies and a lack of cooperation in financial and business transactions.

Overall, lawlessness creates an unpredictable and risky economic climate, stifling growth and development. Would you like a deeper analysis on any of these points?

Just like Igbos are also holding Tinubu ransom and nothing will stop them to destroy him too.

What is the meaning of Ezenwo Wike in Yoruba or Edo language?

What is the meaning in Ikwere and igbo languages?

You and Tinubu will understand who the Igbos are in a very hard way.....

There is a procedure

If there is a voice vote after calling the vote anyone is unhappy he can call for a counted vote
Usually the voice vote will show the mood in the room
In this case I suspect it was unanimous with no dissent
Hmmm.
But how does that take care of those who may wish to abstain? Like if we have 243 and 10 abstain from voting, automatically, the SoE vote fails.
A voice vote cannot be sufficient to meet an arithmetic threshold that is distinct and discrete. Let's stop deceiving ourselves as a nation
BIAFRAISASPIRIT: 12:54pm On Mar 20
Lol, look at how people just jumped into the comment section to comment without even watching the video to know what's going on. The voice vote is for the acceptance of the letter sent to the assembly for them to debate on the matter and then declare their or not. As a matter of fact it's still being debated while some are even calling for roll call by head count to ensure they've formed a quorum.
They'll start voting after debating on it. It is proper to always get your facts right before speaking on any matter.

These people have collected agbado again

What is now the use of all these opposition in the House if a few grains of corn is all that is required to turn them over

Voice vote? This is patently illegal!! The constitution spells out 2/3! How can you confirm 2/3 by voice vote? Voice vote can only work for simple majority!!

Nigerian democracy is a joke
This one is pained. You go cry tire. No worry

are just waking up niii. They have already approved the emergency rule declared by Tinubu.

Stop giving fake news. This video doesn't show where it was deliberated on. The man was only insisting on a quorum. Give us a true video or statement from the house approving then we know.
Truths9ja: 12:56pm On Mar 20
The law says β€œ2/3 Majority”.
The law speaks NUMBERS. Not echoes. If Tinubu is allowed to go ahead with this criminality against Nigeria’s Constitution, you can bid this democracy goodbye.

If you are present you will be counted even if you want to abstain you can call for a count

What do you mean let's stop deceiving ourselves in this nation

I watched it a while ago,I knew it was abracadabra that was needed to get this thing through. My own concern is the economy of this country. If this state of emergency can bring increase in crude oil production,it would be good for everybody.

Your second sentence made a lot of sense. Atiku didn't realize there is a problem on ground. BIAFRA war or Civil War was mainly because of Crude Oil. There is a problem on ground, Nigeria cannot continue to exist like this. This is beyond politics. Yaradua's Amnesty program is mainly because of Crude Oil. Tinubu's Emergency Rule Declaration is mainly because of Crude Oil and Gas.

There is a serious problem on ground. Militants and militancy cannot determine the course of Law. Militants cannot determine the execution of Supreme Court Judgement. Militants cannot determine the resolutions of National or State Assembly. If Emergency rule is not declared and the RSHA impeached the Governor, militants cannot resist the impeachment. There is a Rule of Law. Let me shock you, if Fubara is impeached, the Ijaws will blow up critical oil infrastructure. My fear is the military men that would lose their lives along the creek while trying to contend with the militants. During Obasanjo & during Yaradua regime I lost over 20 people (Army & Navy) and several others severely wounded while fighting along the creek.

Before Emergency Rule was declared, there was provocative threats backup with actions that have precedents and which have huge impacts on the economy of the nation . That is a declaration of WAR. In Warfare Studies, there are different classes of Warfare. PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE is a great study. RUSSIA go to War over an intention of UKRAINE (NATO). You don't have to wait for damages on your side before an action is taken. Prevention of Combat or Guerrilla war is the best.

Instead of Atiku, an elder statesman to play politics, it would have been better for them to strategize on how to provide gas supply to AKK gas pipeline and crude oil to Kaduna Refinery from the Crude and Gas reserves in the North. The Ijaws will still blowup pipelines in future if judgement delivered by Supreme Court did not go their way.

The House of Representatives cannot sit down in Abuja while Houses of Assembly in States are demolished by Governors to prevent Parliament from sitting. It is not done anywhere in the world except Nigeria.

Leave him o. Fubara is out either way - full impeachment or come back in 6 months.

Full impeachment leads to violence due to the background nuances. Only the shallow ones can't see this. Even Fubara is fine with this arrangement, he needs a breather. Rivers no be joke.
