ABUJA: Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and several of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have launched a coalition against President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

Other opposition leaders present at the ongoing press conference include, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who is represented by Yunusa Tanko, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, National Secretary of the Coalition of United Political Parties, Peter Ahmeh, and Convenor of the Alternative, Segun Showunmi, among others.

Among those whose apologies were announced are former governors Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), and the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu, among others.

Atiku has just one dream - to be president by all means necessary. His presence in that coalition means it would be difficult to have any meaningful progress, as everyone knows that he reserves the presidential candidate slot.

Secondly, not very many people trust El Rufai, of course because of his antecedents.

Interestingly though, Tinubu is a very smart politician and understands the game no doubt. Otherwise, considering the poor state of the country, anybody should be able to beat him at the polls. But again, we are a very docile people.

It is now obvious that we have a dictator masquerading as a democrat at the helm of affairs. The onus on sane Nigerians is to form a coalition that will send this dictator out of Aso Rock come 2027!
