Thanks to phone cameras and social media. If the incident was not captured and put online, the school management might have swept it under the carpet.

This brutal is condemnable and the steewpid Leturer should be prosecuted.

This apology really highlights a deeply troubling issue in our educational system; the continued harassment of students by lecturers. Meanwhile, mote attention is given to sexual harassment, male students often face other forms of intimidation, bullying, and psychological abuse that go largely unreported.
Many endure humiliation, threats, and unfair treatment that can severely impact their academic progress and mental well-being.

It's time for institutions to implement stricter policies and ability measures to protect all students from these abuses of power.

Acting like a demi god. Empty brain lecturer. If he is asked to write same exams or test now, he will fumble. He met a very calm student. If not for the video, he would have said the student slapped him first and pushed him without physical provocation and make the guy apologise for what he never do.

All these lecturers always feel like a demi god anytime they see students but they are nothing but an ordinary human being. See the letter of apology that he wrote, just look at how ordinary and vulnerable he has become by writing this letter. When hand touches them they'll know that they are nothing but a pencil in the hands of the student especially if the student knows his right.

Never commit anything that will make you to apologise in the public because it'll make you seem weak. Always protect your reputation at all cost because the past most times haunts the future. Now this so called lecturer has spoiled his reputation and he may not vie for any public office if Nigeria is a working country.

Thank God for the social media.

Hitherto, madness like that would have gone unnoticed. I wish the social media was this prevalent during my time in the university, at least 5 professors would had been sent parking from Ife for improper conduct.
