Sport2026 WCQ: Chelle releases Super Eagles squad for Rwanda, Zimbabwe [Full list]

The new head coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, has released his first-ever provisional squad.

Chelle has called up 35 players ahead of this month’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Captain Ahmed Musa returns to the squad and is ed by assistant captain William Troost-Ekong and midfielder Joe Aribo.

Chelle has also included six new faces, blending experience with fresh talent.

Home-based stars Papa Mustapha, Kayode Bankole, and Ifeanyi Emmanuel Onyebuchi have received call-ups.

The Eagles will play away in Kigali on March 21 before hosting Zimbabwe on March 25.
