Overall, theatres grew last year with new cinemas opening shop in new locations and adding more screens to the local industry.

Not moved by this trailer and coming out in a "busy summer month" for movies is huge risk but am i might be wrong tho.

Most of the July movie tickets will be going to the Dinosaurs first, it is a guaranteed billion dollar movie.

Superman and F4 will compete for whatever's left

It doesn't help that both Superman and F4 have similar vibes. Hence this is not another Barbernheimer situation.

One of them is bound to underperform.

I'm just glad Superman is coming out first with a 2 weeks headstart.

My first introduction to this group was the 2005 movie and nothing about them felt remarkable to me. I can't anything from those movies, it was average and forgettable.

I watched Spiderman 1 and 2 for the first time around that same period and I instantly became a fan.

There was a 2015 movie that I have not seen to this day.

I think people find this one interesting because it's a new MCU team. Eternals got plenty of hype too when the trailer came out. I don't think anybody re the previous F4 movies.

I think one major reason why people are hyped is cos of the actors.

Pedro Pascal has huge following and an instant crowd pleaser and eyes puller. Just like what Jason Momoa did for the Aquaman movies.
Also has good ing cast with good general audience exposure.

The vibe also feels very different from previous Marvel films. Similar to Superman.
This is under the MCU banner. And its fans have waited years for this and X-Men.
The director also is solid.

And yes, the previous F4 movies were darn too awful I can barely them. The significant damage from those films is a reason why I feel its performance is around a conservative $650mn if its really good.

Put in an Anya Taylor-Joy & Chloe Zhao and the results will be different.

The old version is a complete practical suit, no CGI.

The CGI on the new one looks rough and unfinished and his voice doesn't sound like it's coming out of his body.
