localbreed: They have upper hand? Yet they are importing goods heavily heavily from. ....yet US CITIZENS GOING FOR PRODUCTS FROM CANADA & MEXICO AGAINST THEIR OWN PRODUCTS. I THINK TINUBU IS GOING TO INTERNATIONAL SCENES TELLING WHO CARE TO LISTENED THAT, THINGS ARE IMPROVING IN HIS COUNTRY, WHILE ME AND YOU KNOW, WE ARE LEAVING IN EXCRUCIATING PAINS. THOSE HIGHER TARIFFS WOULD BE DEFINITELY TRANSFERED TO CONSUMERS,AND IF CONSUMERS BOYCOTTED CANADA'S OWN, AMERICA PRODUCTS PRICES ALREADY HIGHER . 1 Like |

Nobody seems to care about trump's reasons or probably excuses because of the general pre-notion or anti American sentiments. If true, what is actually "FENTANYL"? Drug capable destroying lives and killing people. Who are the biggest producers or beneficiaries? Some of those murderers in disguise may just have been exposed if the claim by Trump is actually substantiated. Now my problem is if Trump is trying to distrupt their evil business in America what are the alternative markets for these murderers in disguise to remain in business? If true ,then there is a very big fire on the mountain. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

For Nigerians trying to save your monies or investments in US dollars. Think very well now, before it's becomes late. That clown (Trump) will ruin the USD in few months. 2 Likes |

The approach of the democrats, Kill the thirst for drugs in America, reorientate the youths, go after cartel ringleaders thru cooperation, impose ban of sale of military type weapons in America because all the guns the cartel use are sourced from America. Republican or Trump approach is to impose tariffs on the Mexican govt which in turn has elicited counter tarrifs from Mexico. |

Well Kamala warned them about how his economic policies were going to be disastrous to the country. We had over 20 noble prize winning economists come together and release a statement saying people shouldnāt voted for him because it would be disastrous. Itās not like he didnāt say he was going to do this. He stated it clearly like day and night. People were too blinded by who was on what bathroom to care about what was going to affect them and their childrenās lives Dogalmighty17: 3 Likes |

Fuckyoumod:truth is, most of this countries are gaming America's benevolence. China is crook. See what they av done to Africa. They will neva invest real businesses here, but will rather sell cheap substandard goods to us. |

I carefully read the responses from Canada, Mexico and China, and realised one thing; they're all afraid to confront the United States. Read between the lines and you will observe that they're all trying to protect their own national pride but also hoping that Trump will negotiate with them instead of threats. United States will feel the heat no doubt, but these countries will be burned by the aftereffects. However, the world economy will be badly affected generally. Of the 3 countries, Canada will bear the most brunt. They're almost completely circled by the United States. Their economy relies hugely on the US. They're already suffering suffering high unemployment rates and rising inflation, these tarrifs by the US will deal a terrible blow on their economy. It's going to be tough for all Canadians in the coming days 1 Like |

Titogbanski:Well I no too go school like that but you wey dey issue certificate, kindly educate me and my likes on how to quench the thirst when your market is continuously flooded? Or you actually think these barons wouldn't prefer to be directly producing in America to cut costs and smuggling stress? Or you actually want American law enforcement to perpetually carry out law enforcement duties of another country? Only something reasonable Please. I'm listening..... |

And only see transgender people on tv, but the way conservatives push the trans agenda, you would think every 2 out of 10 people you meet outside your home are trans. š 2 Likes |

helinues:you're smart. Trump in the real sense doesn't want economic warfare. He wants the trade agreements between them to be renegotiated to benefit America better. As it stands, America is importing almost everything from these countries and getting huge trade deficit. |

tctrills:too many willing sellers of the commodities, and America is the major buyer of their produce. What Canada supplies to the US can be bought somewhere else and refined in US. |

BadBradley:All reputable economists and media houses are calling it a trade war. Nairaland is just reporting it as a forum. |
11doubledee: 12:17pm On Feb 02 |
chopnaira:That's strange, but I don't know why Canada hasn't actually confronted America with their facts. If canada's claim is true which I doubt, then it's more of an internal problem for the US. If the end s are caught in Canada, the origin can be traced to back to America. It that case it becomes a problem that requires a diplomatic solution with the full cooperation of their intelligence and law enforcement agencies. |
