The war in the Congo has nothing to do with Russian and uranium—it's about coltan and other rare minerals that power the global tech industry. Coltan is essential for making smartphones, laptops, and other electronic devices, and Rwanda has been falsely presenting itself as a major coltan exporter while smuggling it from the Congo.

For over 25 years, Rwanda has been involved in destabilizing eastern Congo to keep control over this valuable resource. The Western powers backing Rwanda benefit from this arrangement because it ensures a steady flow of minerals at low costs, without Congo directly profiting from its own wealth.

This is why the conflict never ends—it's an economic war disguised as an ethnic or political struggle.
The arrangement that the Kagame Rwanda (and Uganda) has had in stealing Congo's resource wasn't enough, he got greedy and wants total territorial control.

The high-level strategy could have been pressuring for a ceasefire, but since he's using proxy, a better approach may be through the AU, proscribing the rebels and calling for coalitions to fight them off, and agreeing on a peace pact going forward. Of course, there'd be catches..

I feel for the Congolese people caught in the direct confrontation. Nigeria ministry's silence is shocking, there's too many complexities.

It's getting hotter but how long can their will power hold up or hold off the rebels?. The West are suspiciously silent. Are Kagame and Museveni beyond sanctioning?. It's heart-wrentching how these puppets are being used to destroy the most fertile and endowed country on the continent of Africa. Sadly, the weapons and sophisticated drones M23 rebels are using in killing DR Congo forces and South African military are being supplied by the West. The angst of Africa and Africans must not be misplaced and misdirected but be channeled towards the Western powers, the multi headed snakes feeding off Africa.
You guys post funny things just for likes.
The weapons NA is using against bandits and terrorists are from where again.
Why are you not looking China and Rusdias way if you feel the west is playing the ostrich.

China and Russia also have interests in Africa’s resources and strategic positioning. Every major power has played a role in the resource extraction and geopolitical manipulation across the continent.

I'm calling him out for saying the west alone.
Every major power wants a slice of Africa's wealth.

That is because the West has historically had the most significant and enduring impact on the continent.
For instance, English and French are still widely spoken across Africa, and many African countries maintain legal and political systems that are modeled after their colonial rulers. The names people carry in these countries are from the west.
African don't carry Russian nor chinese names.

And those countries have been at war with DRC already.
For years, foreign powers and neighboring nations, like Rwanda and Uganda, have been involved in the conflict, primarily to exploit the DRC’s vast mineral resources.

No evidence..... Just talking out of your anus..... China owns the rear Earth minerals mines in Congo..... So also do they own the copper mine.... China built a mega dam in Congo...
So remove your Head from your assss
If they call you stupid, you will be upset not knowing it is a compliment paid to you. By you saying China owns the rear earth miniral, copper mines and also built a dam have you not collaborated what I said earlier of western countries sponsoring the unrest in that country to put a puppet government in place favorable to their quest to take over, control the resources? To get western access to the mines? Are you even aware that Congo was a battle ground for the US and the Soviets many years ago over control of resources? Bros, go back to the kiddies chair and read you comic books.

DRC refuse to show leadership, they keep doing Tribal , Ethnic things which is causing their problem. Rather than unite together as a country .. I bet if I have the resource I could have my own Militia with a few of their citizens and I will milk their resource. This recent one was instigate most likely by the recent executions which might have Tribal colorations. The U.S would not seat down and watch you execute it's citizens irrespective of how grave their crime is.

Train brother to have sense and stop killing brother
I don't know when we Africans will wakeup to our responsibilities. We train our children with hatred and when they grow up they became tools in the hands of exploiters.
Then we all come online blaming the "Devil that we never change" from generation to generation.
Instead of us fixing our weaknesses!

Why cant the west try the same tactics in China? Because in Africa, brothers are always willing to kill brothers hence becoming a willing tool in the hands of the murderous imperialists.

But the tools do not use themselves. The rebels are Congolese killing and making life uncomfortable for their fellow Congolese. Are you saying if I give you a gun to kill your family , you will do it it just because I gave you a gun or you did it just because if your selfish benefit from the act

let's assume you are right that they are not the same tribe. it is another reflection of African problem we divide ourselves to the minute details ...we are very tribalistic . if we don't antagonize each other on tribe , it will be religion , if it's not religion it's language , if it's not language , it's social status ....... when at the end of the day we are all the same people. Because I'm a yoruba man from Nigeria , that doesn't make it ok for me to attack an ibo man or another yoruba man from Benin. See Europe , different countries with different languages and varying cultures , they appreciate each other's differences but ensure they hold themselves to same values that bindd them together

Black Africans always blame others for their self-inflicted ills. We can’t get the simplest things done by ourselves in spite of all the educational degrees we have. Our leaders and politicians are extremely corrupt, and selfish. We have every resources to make us wealthy yet we’re the poorest and the least developed people on the face of the earth! Abeg!

DRC has never had peace even in transfer of political power except in the case of Joseph Kabila and his presidential successor, Felix.
Apart from this, the huge Francophone country has never had one since its independence from Belgian colonial rule.
Even today, parts of the country particularly the east have been constantly ravaged by conflicts, disease outbreaks and fightings between armed groups and government forces.
Despite its enormous wealth of mineral resources like gold, cobalt, Palladium, Uranium, Copper Casserite, Germanium( often used as semiconductor), The DRC still struggles with poverty, economic developmental imbalance, systematic corruption.

You burn the embassy down for inaction? I thought African countries don't want colonialists and need to take charge of their destinies? Well, I hope Trump gets the Americans out and locks up the embassy.

But why does this sound like the warning we had last month about American embassies being attacked by terrorists?

Let me aew if I can still find the video.
