Good morning House and I appreciate the responses and advice from the experienced personnel's here.
I requested for a new PAL on the 23rd of January, 2025 because the old one expired on the 21st, as I'm ready to submit my application for visa and I'm for 5th of May intake in Fanshawe College Ontario. I wanted to ask if anyone knows (from experience) how long it's likely to take to get a new PAL and also, if I'm good to go for the May intake as I'm waiting for the new PAL.

Ideally, 1 to 2 weeks. But one cannot predict now because new PAL allocations for 2025 were just announced few days ago. You can just prepare your application while you wait for PAL so that you submit your application as soon as you get it.

Good day Gurus in the house. I have something that has been bothering me for a while now and your response will go a long way. Am about to apply for a graduate certificate program. After graduation, can i also use the graduate certificate to apply for a masters program directly?

I need advice, a cousin of mine is graduating from high school in canada. been the first grade daughter. The grand mum, uncle and aunty would like to attend her graduation ceremony during the summer. They are like 7 in total. was wondering if we should apply as a group using the new portal or the old portal. Also heard the new portal will stop to exist sometime in march.

Nothing stops you from applying, just ensure you have adequate POF with proven sources and letter of intent that speaks to the reason for travelling.

Good day Gurus in the house. Have some concerns, I am in canada already and im almost done with my first program, but i I’ve applied for a second program already and have been given ission. my question now is do i still have to show complete proof of funds to IRCC on my new study permit application? Or it doesn’t really mean I must show all funds since I’m in Canada already and almost done with my first program. Will the be lenient on me since am in Canada already and have completed my first program tuition and almost completing the first program. Your replies will be appreciated Gurus

Since they are adults, they have to have their own GCkeys, they will be applying dividually. They are not direct siblings of the student, so they cannot be captured under her own application.

What stop you from applying to MSc directly?

Welcome to this thread, you need to find a university that accepts your class of graduation, and before you select a program you also need to consider your work experience if you have any.

When applying for a new study permit after transitioning to a second program while already in Canada, you are still required to demonstrate sufficient proof of funds to satisfy IRCC that you can yourself during your studies.

Hello guys.
My sponsor has mutual funds and bonds being held at standard chartered bank.
We plan on liquidating them to show as proof of funds, would there be any documentation to show liquidation?
we already have a portfolio statement and investment certificates.

Good evening gurus, please I'm in a situation and I need your advice.

Last year I got itted to study in UR but got my visa application denied. I finished my application at least 4 months before the PAL was to expire. But, the denial happened well after my PAL had expired, so I couldn't reapply.

I called the school to explain my situation and they said they wouldn't be able to issue me a new PAL from the institution ever again. That deferring or starting the ission process again won't be advisable.

So my question is do I need to go to another institution in another province to get a new PAL or I can just find another institution in that province?

Treat as general inquiry

If an application was cancelled because of the long wait since late 2023 and ircc recently sent ppr what is the standard procedure for this case

You can apply with them so long as you have adequate POF that cater for their living expenses.

If your application was canceled and you've received a PPR, it’s important to follow the steps mentioned in the communication.

Good evening everyone,
A friend used an agent to apply for his student via last year and he was banned. He didn't know that he can actually apply for his study visa himself. He his currently looking for a competent immigration lawyer to take up his case. Kindly refer any immigration lawyer you know to us, please.
