With 7m ,you still wanna travel out? To do what precisely? If you are going for education that is very reasonable since it is development but if you are going to be looking for work ,bro I think you should think about it again .
After travelling out with 7m , you will now str working your ass out for year just to save that same amount of 7m again .
And even if you must or still want to travel ,go to a country you can get a resident permit and start a business . Don't use 7m to go and be doing stupiid menial jobs
Like which country?

Envy keh? You're the one that is stvpid and foolish. If you had been online regularly, you'd see warnings against such ideas of selling your properties and inheritance just for some unsure and ambiguous future that may sometimes be.....I don't even think before I comment.
Bitter and envious soul. That's who you really are.

United Nations are looking for Masters Degree holders in Sociology. So, your advice is not valid.
Croatia and Australia needs candidates with sociology degree because social works thrives in their country. A friend migrated to Australia recently and he is happy in the country.
You don't need up to N7million to go there.
So how much do u need to migrate to Australia since u said u don't need 7m to go there.

Someone said he wants to move away desperately even if it is BOTSWANA and you think such person is someone you can advise?
Many like him have made such moves going through places like LIBYA, BURKINA FASO etc. Or wasting money with them like his 7 million property and ended up in cruel Middle East countries all in the name of being desperate to japa.
We see these in the news every now and then, it happens to them even after they had been advised to desist. And such news won't be the last.
When kasala burst, shey life no go teach dem sense ni? Bitter sense and lesson sef.
Àbí you think say na only soft spoken words dey make people listen to advice?
Guy, face your front, and if you ain't satisfied, carry your own properties go sell and japa.
God speed and best of luck!

Story for the gods.
The guy is right with his social work claim. Social workers are in high demand in the west since a large percentage of their population are battling with a lot of mental illness.

most countries are looking for people in STEM not sociology. And yes it’s currently a useless course unless you acquire extra skills. For the japa there is no viable pathway for you right now. Develop your skills along what is sellable now or in the future abroad
What about marketing?

Nothing is in that country. It has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in Africa. The then-ruling party lost to a newbie after being in power since independence. Their major export product - diamond - is being threatened with lab diamonds and as a landlocked country, before any goodies reach them, South Africa has swallowed everything.
As for the rest of your post, is Nigeria really that bad? How about graduate trainee positions? How many entry-level positions have you applied to and how many aptitude tests have you written ever since? Companies should be advertising them yanfu-yanfu as they did between 2011 - 2014 and a little bit between 2018 - 2019.
Leaving Nigeria is good, but a lot needs to be factored in before you do so: which country of interest? If non-English speaking, are you willing to learn the language? If self sponsored, do you have the required funding and can you get bountiful scholarships? Does the country have a booming economy or do they need foreign workers (for good jobs) because of a low birth rate? The good thing about leaving is it gives you much more exposure, better insight of how things work and foreign s. Now, I see why folks do reverse japa abi japada as they call it after some years because one begins to spot HOW to profitably solve problems in Nigeria. Before you come at me, I no talk say make you use the money start business for Nigeria o. It is your prerogative to determine what to spend on.
I see someone mention Japan, for the love of whoever you worship, with your course, you better be proficient at speaking the native language of any non-English speaking country you intend to migrate to. And to be honest, 7M won't take you to any reasonable country outside of Africa. Finland and Austria don't come across as "reasonable countries" to me.
Please can you check my last post?
Your input will be appreciated

potential waste of money. You dont need masters to make you a better digital marketer. After studies the chances of getting an employer that would sponsor you are the end of the 2 years post graduate visa is very slim in UK. It will end in tears and debt. Why should anyone hire a digital marketer in the Uk for job sponsorship when there are thousands of remote cheap digital marketers all over the world

Could you please explain why newcomers lose money like anything? What are some of the causes?
Thanks.
Number 1: Fluctuating market price, you can buy #20 per kilo in the village and the next 30 minutes you get to town to sell and they tell you it has dropped to #18
Number 2: Quality of the cocoa, farmer won't allow you to test but by the time you get to where to sell, you can be hearing of moisture content and all that
Number 3: 90% of both farmers and buying agents are dubious. There is no way you will do cocoa business without giving cash in advance for them to help you source for product and many at times they run with your money

Yr 7m is just 4,192 dollars according to recent exchange rate, this money is way too small to travel, my little advice don't sell any properties to travel abroad otherwise na tears, don't be carried away by the japa syndrome. If you work and buy a landed property in this Nigeria I suggest you keep doing what you do and try build small bar for the land and car wash if it is in a busy area
g17prinz:
I have never been the enthusiastic type when it comes to Japa, but the realities on ground in the country leaves one with little or no choice to look elsewhere for greener pastures. I have about 7m worth of landed properties, and I want to do away with it and relocate before this country leaves me with nothing at all. I graduated with a 2:1 from a federal university.
Which country affords a better opportunity for someone looking for an MSc, putting all circumstances into perspective?

Doing business in Nigeria is an extreme sport. Kudos to the likes of Olam, STARLINK and Olatunde. How they do it, I don't know. But kudos nevertheless.
So, you know all these big cocoa and cashew nut players in Nigeria? You must have done cocoa business in the past
For your information, buying agents still run with their cash

The average Nigerian migrant in the US has GREATER CHANCES to earn 100K in the US than in Finland or Austria. These are non-English speaking countries with extremely FEW blacks in the general society, let alone the organised labour market. So, why should they be suggested over the US with an extremely diverse economy and greater participation of black people? Nigerians in the US are the wealthiest set of diasporans. How can someone mention Finland and Austria to Nigerians as places to migrate to over the US? and Switzerland, I can understand. Austria and Finland over the US? Tufia!
How many Nigerians in Finland and Austria do you know or have you read that are doing well as career persons or entrepreneurs?
Honestly, I cannot believe I am debating the superiority of the US for relocation for Nigerians because of Finland and Austria. See, some countries are only good for the natives, and no one else. Finland and Austria fit the bill.
Gerrard, Unilag has just held another convocation. Two 5.0 graduates this time from both department(Cell Biology& Genetics) interestingly. But I've not seen their interview yet. Have you?

I saw the pictures on social media, but wondered why there has been no news on their total convocation numbers. UNILAG and I think CU always popularise their convocation news. Any outlet to know those folks from Cell & Genetics? With this new development, C&G have produced three 5.0 CGPA graduates - more than any other department. If this continues for a decade, then it defeats or questions the belief that quant based courses are easier to attain stellar grades.
Thanks for the mention, and please post any link where I can read their interviews, and most importantly, get their names.

Thanks for the response. Number 3 is what I was discussing with a schoolmate a few days ago. How to circumvent the process because the business would involve cash payments. Number 1 is largely associated with commodities, so no surprise. This business requires a large warehouse and huge initial capital.
