Hi everyone, I think my car is consuming too much fuel, a 2007 accord.

10k fuel will take me from Gbagada - Lekki, to and fro that's it, and my mechanic keeps telling me that's normal, but I took a friend's 2009 at with the same 10k fuel and I barely used half of the fuel I bought making to do some research and I found out 2007 accord has a better fuel economy than 2009 at.

My question is how and where can I get this problem fixed?

Engine is around 500k at Oyingbo, not sure about ladipo.

08081115843 - try this guy at Oyingbo, he rings engine and he's good at it.
He did for someone and its been fine since then. He will check and know if the engine will work if ringed.
Ringing shouldn't be up to 150k. However, if you have the cash, I will advise you buy toks once and for all.

If you decide to buy engine, ask for Uche BIG HEAD, he will give you good deal and also buy the old one.
His shop is around the canal side.

Ejike LADIPO - 07033054900
Uche BIG HEAD OYINGBO - 08033655246, 08084445246

Please share the update with us.

Thanks so much

Hello Guys.

My Car is a Honda Accord 2009 the 2.0L variant (R20 Engine).

Whenever I turn on my AC on idle the car vibrates, rpm drops to as low as 500 and the car shudders intermittently like it wants to turn off, also there is a drag when accelerating when the AC is on.

If I get close to a road bump, I will have to turn off the AC quickly because the whole car vibrates and drags until I pick up pace again.

I do not have a CEL , and I have also cleaned the throttle body, PCV valve. My engine air filter has been cleaned, too. Without AC, everything works well and it moves fine.

This car uses the DBW (Drive by wire) and I understand that the ECU controls the Idle rpm.

Scan your car and make sure your O2 sensor works. You can post the scanned code here for further assistance.

You need someone with a very good scan tool to help you recalibrate your idle rpms via the OBD2 system.

How did your mechanic reduce it?

Hi! I do know that rpm can be adjusted and the degree to the adjustment influences the engine noise. How he did it, I don't know. The rpm normally was about 1200, he reduced it to 600, and the noise stopped. At least, my neighbors won't know anytime I want to leave the house. Is this bad??

Also, is there any auto shop in Abuja I could go to? My transmission is faulty. The D light blinks and it frees itself like it was on neutral, revving as I drive.

I would have to turn off the car and put it back on.

Hello house. I recently got a 2014 civic, but I believe the vehicle isn’t as fuel efficient as it’s suppose to be. There is an on dash display that turns green when your are driving economically and blue when driving non economically. However I observed the light is always on blue, and I’ve got an in dash warning showing ā€œCheck Emissionā€. How can I get back the vehicle to be fully economical on gas?

Ones you fix the check emission issue the green fuel efficient will come back on

Maybe he cleaned your throttle body and did an idle relearn with an advanced scanner. At least I hope that is what he did 😁

This consumption rate is on the high side. You should be getting close to double this.

You could reconsider your driving habit.
Scan your car for errors, which you can work towards correcting.
Check your tires. Make sure they are in good condition and they are the recommended sizes and pressure.
Change your spark plugs.
Check the kind of oil you use.
