But what is wrong with paying these bills? All the things you have classified as bills are the standard in of higher quality of life of an average human being, which you don't get in Nigeria. You want to enjoy 24 hours electricity or get your own property without paying for them? I don't understand!
But who is contending if there's anything wrong in paying bills In canada or not, you want me to start all over again..as if you don't know what I was talking about..
Even canada immigration will tell you before you arrive in canada,be prepared there is high cost of living in canada..
I have said this before, and i am saying it again majority of PR holders in canada, went back to uni or college, some even did online courses to upgrade their skills while doing odd jobs a Canadian will not do to make a living in canada and continue with their quest, and some complained they killed previous career after moving to Canada!with that odd jobs without doing multiple shift and overtime and sacrifice your sleep after tax deduction, you will hardly have savings in bank after paying all the bills and high price of groceries, ontop of that you may have family back home asking you for the same hard earned money 💰.
Stop using nigeria bad economy or exchange rate as an excuse to console your soul ,after all many people was doing very well before migrating to canada .

Please,The person arguing with you is not even in Canada. Instead of asking questions and learning valuable information, they prefer to insult and argue, dismissing vital information as discouragement. But once they arrive in Canada, the majority will not come online again within two months as the cold wind of reality and destiny begins to blow them!

You mean most PR you know right?
One thing I’ve learned over the years about PRs is that you only know and sadly sometimes grow as much as people in your circle.
There’s no statistics that backs your generalization.
There’s nothing wrong in upskilling to improve the value you’ll offer to a potential employer. Just as there’s nothing wrong in transitioning to a different career if your previous one is saturated and there’s job shortage.

Canada job situation is more competitive than in previous years 100%.
Someone made a valid point earlier about comprehensive research before migrating.
Does a foreign trained doctor/lawyer/Pharmacist not know before he gets to Canada that he needs to certification exams before he can start practicing?
So if he does decide to still travel to Canada despite knowing this and he struggles economically with odd jobs is the system to blame?
I have a couple friends who had to write qualifying exams to practice medicine, they both had a game plan before getting here and within 2 years ed the exams.
Was it easy for them? No! One had to work in McDonald for a while, wee joke about it now.
But they didn’t bitch about it as they already knew the path to practicing medicine in Canada.

My younger sister is also a ‘victim’ of skilled professionals not been able to practice upon arriving in Canada- she was a Dr. of Pharmacy in Nigeria working in a ‘big’ govt hospital in Lagos. she did research on the path to practicing Pharmacy in Canada and brace herself for tough months. Infact she’s temporarily switching careers to tech while prepping for her exams.

Another thing that contributes to it been more difficult for immigrants is that employers/HRs are now biased.
Immigrants are very skilled on paper(CV/Resume) but fail technical interviews. They make the hiring process more rigorous for future immigrant applicants.
My spouse had to deal with this recently, a lady the previous interview day used someone else’s resume to get a foot in the door.
But when she was given a laptop to do basic task for the role she didn’t even know where to start.
The next immigrant that came in was more carefully assessed and thankfully she know her onions and got the job.

For intending immigrants, please do a comprehensive research and have a game plan. It may be additional schooling, diploma, internationally recognized certifications in your field, qualifying exams to practice a licenced occupation.
Canada is not Paradise and there’s no milk and honey flowing on the streets. The system is not perfect yet More PRs are invited to come to an already competitive job market.
You will have to work really hard especially with current rising cost of groceries and rent, sometimes two or more jobs to sustain your desired lifestyle.
Without a game plan you’ll be caught in the cycle of survival jobs for years and bitching online while others do those same jobs for some months and transition to better roles.

Ìré oooo

Forget this your warning and help people with information about their application. Any information about most countries is online, anyone that experiences shock is mostly out of ignorance. Emphasis you initially put forward was that of discouragement when you said most of us say we do it because of our children. Allow people learn, even if things don’t go as planned, there are still lessons learned.

The choice is entirely for people to make, anyone on here will not change their level of preparedness because someone here asked them to. You should be smart enough to know this.

hello, your quote here says you are in brandon. i would love to know if you have idea of any brandon group one can or if i can come in your dm

Predator188:

Many people that came to Canada for greener pastures with kids, before you ask them why they came!they will tell you they came to Canada because of their children that is why they are here, forgetting that children born here or migrated to canada, will abandon ancestoral roots after staying in canada for years that's bad at the long run, some homes in nigerian villages are now empty because of migration .
However Canada is best for children especially Canadian new born children, the government looks after them and elderly, you'll pay your taxes to this group of people which is not bad.
As for the live, there is no live in canada, you will only do shopping and work, and prices of groceries are very expensive because of gst and hst placed on them, your kids is the top priority before work.when you try to make end meet and pay bills, you will find out that, you have no live in canada, yeah live is that bad in canada!
As for the work: it will depend on the type of job you are looking for,and income, there are jobs in Canada and same time no job!
But with low wage income without two jobs or overtime, by the time you pay bills, car mortgage, car insurance and maintenance , home mortgage, or house rent, phone bill, electricity etc,you may not have much on savings.
Whether on high wage or low wage income or status!@ the end of the day,you are only a worker in canada no live..
With PR you can go back to school to upgrade your qualifications is cheap,it is an advantage! But this will add more stress to your live, seeking further education plus work, plus kids, you'll have no choice. Some PR holders are on low wages jobs some obtained masters and Bachelor's degree still went back to school for further studies they have no choice..
Canada weather is the toughest, car is not a luxury in canada, you'll need one for winter!if you can withstand canada winter, you'll be fine..
Temperature is -28°C upto 30° today in some province see my phone screenshot, weather is not smiling 😑 your fingers will feel the frost with or without gloves..
Time for all electric companies in canada to cash out, high bill on electric consumption on home heating.
Tighten your seat belt and enjoy the ride ..

If the choice is for people, as you said, then stop acting like a dictator. This is not your personal space. When someone shares their experience or the reality of life in Canada, you are quick to attack them. Please stop. This is a public space; let people share their thoughts. It's up to the readers to digest the information and apply wisdom to their relocation journey, especially if you cannot prove the information is false!

I think you are missing my point that this thread should not be derailed with such advisories. Let it be to people who need info on their express entry application and not if Canada presents challenges or not. Anyone who wants to relocate had different choices but decided on Canada. That it is not all rosy is an entirely different conversation not dedicated to this space. I don’t have anything personal with people who want to share experiences but when it is always a negative one, I do have a problem with that. E no easy e no easy, where is it easy?

I think you can use a gift deed, why don't you get one from a family member?
They don't need the gifter statement, just your statement will do. You need to show the transaction receipt and the person's ID though.
Hi.. thanks for your contributions but I need a clarity..

The transaction receipt is that same as the bank alert?..
Or is that a different thing.

Person's ID.. like an international port or National ID?

Will the person's name and signature on a gift deed declaration not suffice?..

Also since I'm using a gift deed from my Mum. Do I need to still provide 6months bank statement?

Use gift deed. You're good
Hello.
Thanks for your guidance to newbies in this thread.
I want to ask. Do I still need a 6 months statement if I am using a gift deed. Someone advised I get only 1 week statement of . Showing the received sum. Then do a gift deed certificate with a notary..
What do you think?
JhyMedex: 6:16pm On Dec 16, 2024

Used a sibling and no issues at all. I've seen so many sibling gifters and no problems whatsoever.
Just ensure you see put the donor's government issued ID and the receipt of transfer of the gift deed.
It's not compulsory at all but If he/she has a ed business, you may attach CAC documents.
@Bluebox

Hi, “receipt of transfer of the gift deed" is that the same as the gift deed alert on the bank statement?..
Also ehen using gift deed is 6 months statement still required?
JhyMedex: 6:22pm On Dec 16, 2024
MayorOfEdmonton:
Yes…100%
My younger sister did same without issues.
Especially as he’s probably claiming sibling points off you and you have to provide documents to prove your relationship when he’s applying anyways.
Cheers

Mayor.. when doing gift deed do I still need the 6months statement of ?

Hello Everyone.
Please i need clarity on something, is it a must to add my spouse in my EE profile?
Can i add her later on after receiving ITA?
What are the implications (asides points) if i remove her in EE profile?

Thank you all
MayorOfEdmonton: 8:46pm On Dec 16, 2024
IMO you don’t necessarily have to provide 6 months SofA since it’s a gift deed, my sis had to open new $ and provided 1 month statement.
On your bank statement highlight the money deposit.
Cheers

You can't get in to some whatsapp group due to privacy, one whatsapp group required physical presence in brandon with Canadian phone number and for specific group from Nigeria.

One other required Canadian phone for to add..
One on Facebook is only for people in brandon! and public..

You are the one who needs to grow and stop categorizing information as simply 'negative' or 'positive.' The true essence of sharing information is to educate, inform, and use it to your advantage in enhancing your research, preparation, goal-setting, and relocation efforts. If we only focus on presenting information as positive, we miss the entire purpose of sharing it. Whether you choose to see information as negative or positive is your personal choice, but please do not impose this perspective on others!

Yes it a must to add them if you have one. If you select that you have spouse and the spouse is accompanying, you will have to load her profile and get scored for it, if you say you have but not accompanying, you will not get scored for her. If you add her after ITA as accompanying, your scores will be recalculated and if the new score falls below the CRS cut off, you will not be able to proceed again.

Asides point, I think you risk misrepresentation if you claim you don't have a spouse and later come in future that you have one. The level of family disclosure required is much more than spouse, you will even be required to include your spouse family(living or not). This I think is vital for future sponsorship

Thank you all

it is not mandatory to add your spouse at any stage if your spouse is unaccompanied and not travelling with you to Canada. However, Presently many people are actually adding their unaccompanied spouse after ing the eligibility stage of the PR process. This does not affect the score, but I’m sure sooner or later IRCC will crack down on this practice, especially for people who are not newly married but initially stated that their spouse was unaccompanied to increase their CRS scores, only to add them later after ing the eligibility stage so the application can be processed together , knowing full well that spouse sponsorship after landing in Canada can take over a year to process sometime.
