How is obi of Onitsha the 9th? The Attah of Igalla, the Ohinoyi of Okene, the Emir of Zuru, king jaja of Opobo and that one in Benue are all ahead of Obi of Onitsha. 67 Likes 8 Shares |

Who made them first class kings? At where and in what occasion? First class kings over who? What yardsticks were used? What is even the meaning of first class or second class or hundred class in kingship structure in Nigeria? What specific roles do these overdressed mutants play in the process of modernizing cultural tools across the country, that can not be done by any of the three arms of government?

Olubadan of Ibadan isn't even regarded as a king in Oyo State, but a mere chief. In fact, Soun of Ogbomosho is more recognized than him. Oba of Lagos shouldn't be there too.

The list is useless because it would only fuel the tribal slurs ongoing here for some time now, with idiots warming up for meaningless arguments. All the kings are wealthy, have regard and cooperation among themselves but you would see people who have nothing reasonable using their energy on childish banters and cusss.. There are a lot of reasons why Nigeria will never balance as regards governance and political structure. The British came and stole from Africa, deposing kings and replacing them with their (British) loyal stooges. Our traditional rulers are placed under local government while the royal throne in England is still well above the British prime minister and every other government officials. Today, even stupid, dirty and smelling governors like Ganduche, Wike, Obaseki, etc misbehave/mess without regard to them but the royal throne of England is more honored, decorated/adorned, regarded, etc more than the head of government, as a ceremonious head in the UK... 19 Likes |

Number 9 Obi of Onitsha does not have any wide influence and didn't even resist British colonialism. Eze Aro whose influence even reached Opobo, Cross River and most of Abia state, Akwa Ibom, Imo state, Ebonyi state had wider influence, spirituality of Long juju, and wealth as they raided slaves and traded in Oil. Arochukwu held greater and vaster influence in pre-colonial Nigeria than Obi of Onitsha the Benin man. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Whoever composed that list needs a big knock on their head. Speaking of Yorubaland, the top hierarchy is; Alaafin of Oyo Ooni of Ife Oba of Benin Alake of Egba Awujale of Ijebu Olubadan, Oba of Lagos are well respected but are not first class Kings in Yorubaland. 37 Likes 3 Shares |

Who do this list sef? Is present Emir of Kano Ado Bayero? Which one be Aladdin of Oyo? ![]() Besides the Sultan, Oba of Benin, Ooni and Alaafin, the rest are unknown or have been politically abused. The heirachy is almost non-existent. Even Emir of Mararaba in Karu, Nasarawa State is said to be a first class chief. Traditional Institutions in Nigeria are no longer what they used to be, modern democratic governance systems have since eroded their relevance. Politicians in Nigeria sef don scatter am kpata kpata. Anyway: Live your life for God. The weekend is for rest and not sin. God hates sin and if you want to please Him, stay away from sin, pray more often and read your Bible. You have not and can never commit an unpardonable sin but you must return always to ask for mercy and forgiveness. Prov.28.13 - He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. 15 Likes 1 Share |

Nigerian law does not regard any of these clowns as first class king There is a traditional council of kings headed by the Ooni of ife and the sultan. Each state has its own chairman of traditional council First class, second class and third class ranking are colonial rankings that have been abolished 7 Likes |

Zonefree: We all know the fact he said he would dump your people in the Lagos Lagoon still dey pain you. Yes Seyi is disrespectful, but he's a 1st Class Citizen. The Oba has made it clear he sees your people as 3rd Class. If you can't do anything about it but rant about here with 100Likes then Oba & Asari that also called you Ijaw Slaves have a point. Oba Akiolu probably has forgotten the Lagoon comment but he hurt your guys so bad that millions are still crying ![]() 7 Likes 1 Share |
