Good morning everyone, please I need help with my 2006 Honda Civic. I’m a first time car owner and barely have any knowledge on cars.

So I had gotten this car in September, it was inspected, everything worked perfect with no issues. More recently I noticed the AC was not cooling anymore and was blowing hot air. So an AC guy came to inspect and said there was a leak. The leak was fixed and AC refrigerant was added and the AC ran cold again.

However I immediately noted that the AC cuts off after very few minutes and would not come on again, so he said that it’s a rewire’s job that the rewire will need to check the fuses.

We drove the car to the rewire and he started checking the fuses, next thing we noted was not he was unable to start the car again. The car cranks but just won’t start. He spent the whole day trying to get the car looked through the sparks, fuses, fuel pump and called other professionals and none of them were able to get the car to start and we had to leave the car at the mechanic shop.

I’m so bothered cause literally nothing was wrong with the car before now. It ran perfectly and never had to fix anything on it. Please can anyone help

Also worthy to note was one of the other rewires took note that the car key light was not present on the dashboard.

The rewire messed up with your Ecu brain box.

Let them stop mes with your wiring, they should replace the brain box first and see

Ok will also see about this but he claimed the fuses on the ECU work perfectly

I don’t think it’s the alternator cause the battery and alternator work fine and if it was the alternator I don’t think the car will crank at all.

So you still believe that Olodo rewire?

Get another good Ecu for test first, I'm very sure that's the problem.

Hi everyone. My car short time furl trim is always within 20-40 while on idle. I get very bad gas milage mostly below 10mpg.
Car is an 06 Acura tsx. It has the same engine as the Honda accord 06.

I got a p2195 code once but it has never occured after that

If you experienced hard starting, ECU is not likely to be the cause. Hard starting mostly cause by gradual off of timing chain from normal setting or improper installation. Let a competent mechanic investigate the root cause, but I doubt if it is from ECU

Your 02 sensors is stuck lean which inflection would tell the engine computer to add more fuel thereby causing excessive fuel consumption. Basic things to start from is checking for vacuum leaks, condition of the air filter and last resort would be the upstream 02 sensors, doors the vehicle run poorly also ?

Hi house, what's the cost of radiator fan for corolla 2004?

I just replaced the upstream 02 sensor few weeks ago and I've checked for vacuum leaks around the engine i can't seem to find any. I'll check under the silencer side for leaks tomorrow.
The car run smoothly although somethings i feel it drives weird while selecting gears (doesn't happens often), also whenever the car is on idle like on traffic and it's on gear with ac on, i notice a lot of shaking on the steering which suddenly stops when i increase the rpm to about 900-1k. It only happens when idling on about 700 -800 rpm.

Camshaft changed two different times and it didn't work out.
the stupid mechanic removed the engine metal claiming it is the culprit making the grinding sound on cold start and the grinding sound still persist on cold start though car engine is running fine but camshaft check light is on.

Should I plan on buying a new engine since the metal had been replaced? though the mechanic said he replaced with original metal.

Plan to replace that engine. It's not cheap tho.

Top Valve cover seal can cause the oil leak but better still let a technician help you inspect it first.

That engine I believe is the 2GR variant.It hates overheating. Just save towards changing the engine.All these mechanics are just something
