Good morning. I paid $1334. Before then, I made an application but didn't see a free date for close to six months, so I canceled the application. I didn't understand that I had to pay for prime time or assisted service to enable me to get a date, so for that application, I paid $1305. I believe it might have increased a bit now.

Biometric done for family of 3 about an hour ago, and mail has just been sent by TLS now that it has been transferred to UKVI for decision.

Hoping for positive on this application and that of everyone else on this forum.


Please note that TLS says if you used Assisted service to book appointment and you ended up ing by yourself before coming to the Application centre, that you're entitled to refund.

Hence, I've applied via their website for a refund, since they didn't render any assistance.

Let everyone take note of this

I didn't prove or submit any proof because when I applied for my first UK visa (6 months) in June 2021, it wasn't as tough as this when they hammered on providing a connection. Maybe it was, but from my observation on the forum then, I didn't see any of such. Getting a visa then, with his sponsorship, had created proof for this present application.

Now and based on several refusals, they would say A mother failed to prove that she gave birth to the child inviting her, since no birth certificate.

It's something else now.

You need to even prove that you're the husband of your wife these days

It's the ₦32,000 and you must apply using that link immediately you leave the application centre after capturing.

Assisted service ideally is supposed to be for them to 'assist' you to scan and . It's not supposed to be used to secure a date. However, because of the unethical practice of Tls in deliberately blocking all free dates (even when the centre is actually empty at those hours) people devised that means of using assisted service to book appointment.

But if you paid for someone to assist you and you eventually didn't need that assistance, you should get your money back.

Mail 1 is from UKVI called decision mail. You'll only get this mail if your visa is refused and if it's not refused, you'll most likely not get the mail.

Mail 2 is for everyone and that one is from TLS telling you to come pick up your port.

You can also get a decision mail that is successful but i believe this depends on visa type.

Visit visa usually don't receive decision mail if approved but most student visa receive decision mails if approved.

So, it depends on their system since it is always overwhelmed.

Are you in or outside Nigeria? If in Nigeria you have to go to their office to do biometrics, if outside Nigeria then I hope you selected the diaspora option for them to send you the thumbprint form to do, NIN and proof of overseas address…

I have mentioned here before that I would want to invite my sister for my graduation taking place sometime in January 2025 and I mentioned she is not doing much in Nigeria and I have been told here that she’s likely to get a refusal.

However, I have ponder over it and still want to do the application for her. I have choose to put in the application by December 26th/27th if she gets a refusal she gets a refusal no worries…if luck run into her so be it. Refusal is not a death sentence provided we ain’t using fake documents.

Now I need help to clarify things for me from my end as the sponsor 👏

1) Do I need to show 6months payslips or I just need to show my bank statement showing the total amount of money to cover her expenses?

2) My student visa finishes January 31st 2025 but I plan to apply for PSW by January 25th 2025. My graduation is January 23rd 2025…if I apply for my sister visit visa by 26/27th December 2024 will it fly being that my visa finishes in a month time?

3) My school is in Brighton and Hove while I now live in Cambridge with my boyfriend. I plan to book hotel for my sister in Brighton and Hove…please will this fly?


4) Like I said I live with my boyfriend and the rent is in his name but the council tax I have made objection to be paying since September I relocate here so it’s now in my name and his name. Can I use council tax to show my proof of address? Will this fly?

5) I work with agency so to show proof of employment and proof of income I have plan to show payslip or letter from my agency…please will this fly?

6) Should I send the flight ticket fee for to and fro to my sister’s bank or I should leave it in my UK ?

7) Aside flight tickets the total money I budget for her expenses here in the UK is £1400 and she will be staying for 9days. Is it fair enough?

P.S: my sister was born mid 1998

2) Put it in letter of explanation that: you intend to extend your visa legally through the PSW program. (attach psw documents to prove it here, if there is any) (what you write in LOE matters here)

3) Yep..book at hotel already, add the proofs to the LOE (if you can book hotel that can refund your money, it would be cool anyways.)


4) you can use council tax as one of proof for the visa application, it would help alot as it would prove that you are living legally in the UK

dont put too much story that is not needed in the LOE.

your sister should have some money in her too, that could also help.

state your purpose well. say her primary reason for visit is to attend grad, and also she would like to take a look around popular tourist areas (mention two or three).
The purpose matters alot, dont derail. (you can also mention the purpose of visit in your own letter of invitation).

Hi guys,

I want to apply for a UK visa and this is my first time. I have travelled to other African countries and recently Qatar/Lebanon. I own a ed fashion business but I want to apply for POF to use as evidence for my application as my personal funds might not be enough (not sure how much I need)
My question is should I fund my personal or business , also how much should I put in my on a monthly basis or should I collect a lump sum? How much can I use as POF for a 7 days visit?
Should I use a conference or seminar as my reason for visiting instead of just stating tourism?
Its my first time and I would prefer not to use an agent.
