It depends on how “Christian” you wan be.

It’s like water. If you add small cold water (worldly music) to your hot water (Walk with Christ), the outcome go be lukewarm. If you have more cold than hot, you know the result. Now, imagine sey you no dilute with cold water, your “fire will be burning” as they say. So, again, it depends on how Christian you wan be.

To be fair, there are some “Christian” songs I skip as well. Ppl wey dey talk to God like sey na their mate dem dey talk to, I don’t listen to those songs. Or people wey dey sing R&B, song sound like love song to their boo and they call am Gospel. I skip those. You have to be intentional.

It is good reply will start from asking us, what is worldly song? By worldly, do you mean songs without any gospel theme? A song sang by one who doesn't attend church? Or a song that promote what God hates, in other words, if Flavour sing about wedding, that isn't worldly because it is not what God hates?

It is difficult to know what people mean by worldly song, even me get confused as to what that statement really means. It appears that what comes to our mind is a song sang by celebrity secular musicians. But such secular songs do sometimes take on gospel titles. My question before I reply is, what is a worldly song?

The bible says we shud flee youthful lust. These things are not sinful in themselves but they can be instruments of sin like the lust of the flesh, the pride of life and the deceitfulness of riches. A true and spiritual walk with God will dampen ur desires in most of these things so that you can walk up rightly and perfectly with your God.
