I have an Amex and Capital one. .
Capital one classes it as a cash withdrawal even with PayPal. Amex doesn't.

It’s actually not seen as a cash withdrawal. I dey withdraw from my PayPal with my Amex when I need urgent cash and I’ve never been charged. It’s seen as a regular transaction and not a cash withdrawal and it doesn’t incur any charges, all they need to do is select the card when they want to send the money to someone on their PayPal list and select Family/Friends for the transaction. It also doesn’t affect anyone’s credit score as long as they say within the 25% spend on their total available credit.

Do you just add your card to PayPal and Initiate the transfer within the PayPal app?

What do you mean by '' out of 21 days ''.... If all your appeal fails, you might have to take your chances with the magistrates in court (by contesting the fine)......

In the interim, send an email to the rail ombudsman(clearly stating your position) .....

Has anyone renewed his/her UK visa on an expired Nigerian port?

I might be wrong on this but I presume one's port validity doesn't matter when renewing within the UK. Also because a BRP was previously issued and people don't necessarily change nationality per year, I reckon HM would have one's original details.

Just curious to see if anyone has renewed a UK visa within the UK on their expired Naija port.

PS: Trying to save money, time and effort with renewing portS. Ighatago

A family member recently applied for ILR with expired Nigerian port and it was successful though I submitted NIN card as part of the application.

My dear (Adult) sisters and brothers on this street who have children.

Please, recommend to your children to stop when the UK police tells (orders) them to stop.

Recommend to your children to obey laws, and if (for any reason) they run foul of the law, let them work with the police. It will save us (Black community) a lot of pain & anguish.

Background: Chris Kaba would have been alive today had he stopped when asked to stop by the police.

Most immigration stuff esp visit visa in Canada takes a while- na just to apply comot mind they do other things.
The wait is offset by the fact the visa lasts the duration of your port validity. So if na 10yr port you get, na 10 yr visit visa.

1. Ensure you have relevant papers and research experience in the area you're claiming. 2. If you don't hold a PhD in the field, make sure you have more than 3 years of solid research experience with substantial evidence.

4. Make sure your personal statement and recommendation letters are strong. Don't hold back—highlight your achievements. The recommender should be an eminent person who is familiar with your work and can write extensively about it. You can also include the recommender’s CV if you're working in a niche area.

5. You are allowed to list more than 10 papers in your application by entering 10 per batch.

6. Include additional documents that showcase your research impact and leadership, such as a compiled file of awards and a complete list of your publications.

7. Lastly, pray for a good reviewer! 😂

The damage is already done; there is now a hard inquiry on your credit report. The best thing you can do is learn how to use a credit card responsibly, which could ultimately be beneficial for your credit report.

My apologies. I can see how it can be frustrating if you have a set event.

Both pathways have their pros and cons. I appreciate the access, predictability, relative speed/level-playing field (which was hard fought) of the UK system. I dont like the fact it seems all profit oriented. The Canadian system OTOH has all the hassle (prolonged wait) front-loaded after which thats it. Its relatively very cheap truth be said. However,I dont like the tiered processing time. For a specific event, I'd choose UK. For tourism/leisure or for parents, I'd choose Canada.


The best would be not having to apply for a visa the second best would be a hybrid between the two.

Personally, I had put off travelling to the EU as I considered the whole visa process too much hassle for its length. I applied for the Canadian one cos I felt for the price and duration (abt 100 cad i.e £55 for upto 10yrs by default), I could forgo the annoying wait.
