Please ni need serious advice towards this question my tuition fees is 13000 pounds, if I can be able to pay half of the tuition fees,

1. can I be able to pay the rest in uk with the work

Please I need advice on this

Don't do it else you will be back online in no time blaming everyone apart from yourself.

Like i always say..if you don't have money to study in the UK then don't start the journey.

Getting that 20hrs job as a student has become extremely difficult. Many have been here for months without jobs, struggling to pay rent, borrowing money to attend lectures etc with outstanding tuition fees, breathing down on their necks.

I will advise you not to try it at all at all... Except you have a sponsorer back home to pay for your basic things like accomodation, transportation and feeding... If not, don't dare try it

I will suggest you get yourself a COS.. and enter through that route rather than putting yourself in an extremely difficult situation when you get there through study route.

Good day all. Please I have an issue and I am not sure of the best way to go about it . I got a student visa last year February 2023 with my family . I travelled back to Nigeria during my school break as my dad was very sick. I couldn’t travel back to the Uk on time to meet up with the second term as my dad was still very sick and there was no one to stay with him ,so the school later curtailed my visa and said I should finish my course from Nigeria . While I was in Nigeria to take care of my dad , my husband was still in Uk because we thought I was going to be able to come back . He had to come back to Nigeria when the visa got curtailed . We are about to process another study visa in Uk with me being the main applicant for January 2025 intake . The issue now is there is a part of the dependant visa that state if we have lived together for the past 2 years . How do we defend that giving that we were living apart during the time I came to Nigeria ?

I'm not sure you can still take your husband as your dependant. Has that privildege not been withdrawn by the British Government?

Perharps others can help out here..

I wanted to ask if it was possible for A parent sponsor to use one proof of funds for two siblings..if they are not submitting the same time

It might be discovered. It basically means you want to use the same money for 2 people. They might find out and that will lead to a denial.

Don't try it. Jobs are very scarce in the UK right now... The pay from your part time job as a student will barely cover your basic expenses.. Yes, people took the risk in the past but it's tougher now.

Finally I have painstakingly, curiously, keenly and attentively read through this thread from page 1 to this end. I have learnt so much more than I used to know about UK japa. Japa has never been my thought (as am doing well in Naija) until 3 months ago when everything began to hit the roof and I keep seeing my savings reducing value daily. Thus I developed interest of relocating to the UK through the study route but fear don dey catch me after all I have read here.

My story.
I am in my mid 30s, with a wife and 3 kids. I have Bsc Mathematics (1st class) and awaiting Msc mathematics (distinction) by December. My wife has B.Ed Mathematics Education (2:1) with TRCN.

We are planning that I apply for phd September 2025 intake as MA and wife & kids as dependents, while wifey tries the "Train to teach maths" program from now till then.

We would be able to raise 40m now till Sept 2025 and thinking if we should still consider the UK option.

Pls is there any advice we can get here on available best options we can take maybe to secure a scholarship as what I have read here has shown that there are no longer jobs in the UK like before to pay school fees through a 3 years phd. And also considering the £15k for all of us to convert to PSW visa after phd.

We are not looking at Australia and Canada because the possibility of getting PR reduces as you age.

Or is there any alternative European country we can look into (with our lean budget) where it will be easy for us (especially the kids) to blend, school and work with a view of getting PR/ILR as the case may be.

Hello, please how can one get the COS while in Nigeria. I have been applying for several jobs from here but my applications are usually unsuccessful because of my location.

What do you think I should do differently?

Please house, my dad is currently in the uk for visit. I'm thinking of opening an for him here in the uk and put money in the so that my younger brother can use him as his sponsor for his student visa application. We fixed money in my younger brother last year and as a result of the volatility in exchange rate the money is worthless and has been spent as well. The money for his travelling is currently in £ and I'm seriously concerned changing the money to naira to fix in his personal in Nigeria. Please any suggestions to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Your younger brother should open a £ domiciliary in Nigeria and you transfer the funds to it.

Check county cargo on instagram, HOR, Splendid all on Instagram. There are other cargo companies but these are the ones that have come to my mind first and that I’ve also used their services. One kg to naija is £4.5 plus handling fee and that’s all you pay

I'm in the same shoe too..Already get an unconditional offer for PhD program and got partial scholarship, i only need to pay 4000 pounds tuition deposit to obtain my CAS which I'm not sure if that will happen cuz I can't afford to come up with it. I'm a single mom who is trying so hard to cater for my daughter and myself. I tried prodigy finance and couple of few others too no luck..I will appreciate if anyone can suggest or help with any other options cuz it's really a great chance for me to turn things around and I pray I don't miss it cuz life has really been very though for me without no or connection. I struggled to finished my M.Sc with the token I make from my tailoring hustle. I pray my helper locate me soon. Even if it's a study loan I will pay back

Have you tried the US ? Most Schools in the US usually offer full funding for PhD programs and graduate assistance to help with your living and all that .I think it's a far better option considering your funds
