You will receive an activation email link about 72hours for your avits from avits to activate your . The activation link expires in 72hrs(3days) from the time you receive the email.

1. the new PdF letter like that ( either showing or not showing) and combine it with the old letter , and let Mama take both to the interview based on old date scheduled.
The new AVITS letter does not indicate date or month in order to not contradict the old one. The AVITS letter is just a formality, but print it like that.

PS: Mama should attend her interview based on the old letter.

PS: For IW applicants. They should AVITS (blank ) letter , and proceed to OIS to and book Drop Off/Pick Up appointment. IW applicant must follow OIS new appointment but must go with AVITS letter.

I applied last year also, interview is February, 2025 and I received the activation email. Profile activated, appointment letter on it with the exact date I had on the former website.

Because I paid via GTB before migration but did not book an appointment because I was waiting for migration. Created a new profile on AVITS on September 2nd because I thought that links were only being sent to people with appointments. Maybe I should delete my newly created profile on AVITS then, and wait for the link.

Hello everyone please I need help ooo.
I had an IW appointment that was reschedule automatically to August 2024 from my initial appointment date in Nov 2024 by the US consulate.

However I was unable to drop off my documents at the time due to work obligation. And was unable to reschedule another date as instructed in the email sent to me, because the old system became unavailable.

I am yet to get an email from the new service provider to migrate to the new portal.

What should I do, I still have my MRV intact on the old portal.

It's been 3 weeks since the new portal has been up, and I am yet to get the migration email.

I know in the process of ing in the new portal there’s a note that says the venue cannot be changed once selected but I just thought to ask just incase it is in reality flexible and one can change. Thank you.

I'm surprised there aren't earlier Lagos interview dates. Two days ago I got an end of October 2024 date for Abuja and there were several November 2024 dates available. If you're in a hurry why not use the Abuja embassy instead?

All those early date showing are not real … if you try booking it, it will say slot already taken or give you error message, dates are from October/November 2025 downwards

Thank you for the update, I got the receipt eventually, but when I got to Walter Carrington the touts outside were telling people to print another receipt that carries the cgi logo, they said this calmly like they really want to help you, but when i got inside I asked one of the staffs and he told me I was scammed, I saw almost every of the applicant with that same receipt meaning they paid 30-25k, cos the story they are cooking is that without the CGI receipt, one will be turned back. I negotiated to 15k, maybe many people will be able to negotiate too and pay like 25-20k, the bottom line is that I got scammed and other people that fell for that story too. I want to advise anyone that sees this and is going for an interview no matter the persusation pls don't make a photocopy or print out of your data page, or any other document that is been preached to you, it is a scam they don't ask for many things those guy always use scope to sell it to people. 1. Practically, you have missed your appointment, but let's see if luck will intervene.

2. Visit the new AVITS website, sign up and open a ticket (complain message) by clicking the option. Attach your previous appointment letter , Screenshot of the reschedule email, and perhaps MRV payment receipt (merge everything together as PDF), with brief explanation of your situation and submit. Let's hope they give you positive response. You may as well call the embassy helpline. Otherwise, you will purchase another VISA FEE.

If you're referring to Abuja appointments, a lot of the September 2024, October 2024 and December 2024 dates aren't real. I think there was one date in January 2025 that wasn't real either. At first the closest I could get was May 2025, but 4 - 5 days ago before I used my last two reschedules, they populated November 2024 with interview dates (note, on the AVITS system, there were no dates available for November 2024, fake or real). I was able to grab a November 15th, 2024 date. But 4 days ago, I randomly checked and I noticed a few new dates added to October 2024, and just tried it to see what would happen and that's how I used my last reschedule on an October 2024 date.
So if you still have a reschedule left, and your schedule is October/November 2025, you can at least get a May 2025 if the October/November 2024 dates are done. Or wait and try for something better, you might get lucky.

I paid with a credit card (MasterCard) on the new Avits system. After the payment went through (took about 1 min), I selected my interview location and selected a date which got approved. It then showed I had 3 reschedule attempts, so I used them to periodically get closer dates till my last attempt was used on the October 2024 date.

While others have migrated their data to the new site, can I get a refund for the one I made in March?

Also how long does it take for the second 1 to reflect?
My first MRV payment was 350k, its too painful

Continue from pending appointment, but in your payment details and select a date at the end.

1. Click on " Pending Appointment Request " to continue and once you are able to pick a date and schedule successfully, go ahead and print your appointment confirmation (either blank or not). Take your old appointment letter , and the new one from AVITS along on the day of your interview.
If you are going for IW, go to OIS website , sign up and book another Pick Up/Drop Off appointment, in which you will also merge your previous appointment letter with the OIS letter when going for drop off.

1. I hope this is not " the funniest joke of the week ?
USA embassy does not refund VISA (MRV) fee, and it is clearly stated repeatedly on their website, especially when making payment. You should not have rushed to pay another fee, you should have asked question regarding your appointment here.

2. Just pray that you are not even getting a " double whammy" by having two profiles on AVITS.
Open a ticket (complain message), by navigating the option in your profile and attach the necessary documents in of your request. You should also call the -staffs.
