A social critic, Aisha Yesufu has said that former President Goodluck Jonathan gave Aliko Dangote and other rich so much waivers during his tenure.

Yesufu said the action consequently destroyed small businesses in the process.

Her statement comes amid an alleged soured relationship between Dangote and the regulators of the nation’s oil industry.

DAILY POST recalls that the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority recently said that the Dangote refinery has not been licensed to begin operations in the country.

However, in a post on her social media handle on Monday, Yesufu said there was also a lot of money laundering through predatory pricing that took a lot of businesses down.

She said: “We are eager to forget and romanticize the past. GEJ gave Dangote and co so much waivers and destroyed small businesses in the process. There was also a lot of money laundering through predatory pricing that took a lot of businesses down.”

90% Ownership of the Largest refinery in Africa to a single man is worse than military rule. Niger Delta should own at least 30% of Dangote refinery. The subsidized dollars Emefiele gave to Dangote, belongs to all Nigerians.(why? The dollar was subsidized with revenue from crude oil sales, the crude oil is our national asset)
Technically there is the blood and sweat of all Nigerians in that refinery.

Because he is the largest employer of labor, other businesses should be disadvantaged for the sake of his venture and profit, none of which directly benefits much of Nigeria? Do you listen to yourselves at all?

God bless you. If Nigerians understood they ought to be stooning Dangote by now. They behaves the same way during the first subsidy removal years ago. Nigerians are always attracted to popular and loud voice rather than objective reasoning

Aisha, abeg, make we no forget say Dangote dey create jobs and contribute to the economy. Na wa for small businesses, but e get as e be. Instead of just blaming, let’s find ways to local businesses too. Balance is key!
