A social critic, Aisha Yesufu has said that former President Goodluck Jonathan gave Aliko Dangote and other rich so much waivers during his tenure.

Yesufu said the action consequently destroyed small businesses in the process.

Her statement comes amid an alleged soured relationship between Dangote and the regulators of the nation’s oil industry.

DAILY POST recalls that the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority recently said that the Dangote refinery has not been licensed to begin operations in the country.

However, in a post on her social media handle on Monday, Yesufu said there was also a lot of money laundering through predatory pricing that took a lot of businesses down.

She said: “We are eager to forget and romanticize the past. GEJ gave Dangote and co so much waivers and destroyed small businesses in the process. There was also a lot of money laundering through predatory pricing that took a lot of businesses down.”

Why not enlighten us with detailed explanations and evidence?

Please start here: "There was also a lot of money laundering through predatory pricing that took a lot of businesses down.”

Can you explain how predatory pricing can be used for money laundering?

Good luck!

When there is monopoly in government......We called it Military rule !!

When there is Monopoly in Business........We should call it out as well !!

90% Ownership of the Largest refinery in Africa to a single man is worse than military rule. Niger Delta should own at least 30% of Dangote refinery. The subsidized dollars Emefiele gave to Dangote, belongs to all Nigerians.(why? The dollar was subsidized with revenue from crude oil sales, the crude oil is our national asset)
Technically there is the blood and sweat of all Nigerians in that refinery.

Aisha, it’s not just about waivers. Dangote’s success has created jobs and boosted the economy in ways that can’t be overlooked. Instead of blaming GEJ, let’s focus on how to small businesses to thrive alongside big players. Competition is key!

That’s because he is the largest employer of Labour.

Other people should invest massively too and the government will court them close like they are doing to Dangote

Because he is the largest employer of labor, other businesses should be disadvantaged for the sake of his venture and profit, none of which directly benefits much of Nigeria? Do you listen to yourselves at all? undecided

Dangote this and that, believe me, these are just rumours. There are times people spread death rumours about people who are alive simply because they think so based on their imaginations. This is just a rumour and she's a rumour carrier.

God bless you. If Nigerians understood they ought to be stooning Dangote by now. They behaves the same way during the first subsidy removal years ago. Nigerians are always attracted to popular and loud voice rather than objective reasoning

But It's like the ibos aren't even interested in this protest? They aren't even talking about or trying to create awareness, even their Influencers are busy advertising goods instead of using their platform to talk about this protest
You all need to understand that What affects this nation affects all of us.
This attitude of ibos behaving a different nothing concerns us with Nigeria mentality is very wrong .

Nigeria has finally divided , and it is so unfortunate. This nation can't grow with this sort of division.

This is sad indeed undecided

Good luck!

You need evidence to know how waivers were granted to Dangote? I guess you also need evidence to know Nigerians are suffering and can't afford to eat twice a day.

Not true

They got waived because they deserved it. They were major investors and employers of many and so deserved to be encouraged.

You can’t give someone who is not an investor waiver

IgbObidients will be confused on whether to attack Aisha(a fellow Obidient), defend their adopted son Azikwe Jonathan, or revert to their “Dangote is a monopolist” mantra which betrays their newfound love for Dangote, since his travails with NNPCL began grin

All of which have no bearing on our country’s moribund oil refining sector. Whether Dangote became the richest man in Africa through monopoly from OBJ or GEJ’s istration has no bearing on the price of fuel. That is what matters most to every Nigerian, not stories! cool
