There's what we call consequential adjustment and that will follow immediately after the executive bill that will be sent to the national assembly is ed and then signed into law by the president.
Consequential adjustment simply means finding a balance in-between levels so that we don't have so much gap. For instance, you'll hear level 1 to level 4 πŸ’― %. Level 5 to 7 70% and so on.

It will be consequential adjustment with about 15% to 30% depending on your grade level, for instance if you are currently on a salary of 100,000, your new salary will 100,000Γ—30%
= 30,000 Naira increase for you. Therefore, your new salary will be 130,000 Naira.

That amount is the "basic salary". Other allowances will be calculated based on that and added.
Those on SGL 01Step 1, may earned something close to N100,000

In my state those on SGL 01 Step 01 earns 29000 as net pay on a minimum wage of 30k

The poverty line by the world bank is $2.15/day. So if the new minimum wage is approximately $46 then the least paid worker approximately $1.56/day.

The least paid Nigerian worker would be $0.59 shy of poverty line... Compare this to the 30k/month which translates to $0.67/day. That is an increment of 132%.

Is it enough no hell no, that's why we should have multiple streams of income...
Please let's give kudos where there should be kudos.
I believe it's a starting point.

A person earning 70k/month has no business with having 2 wives and 4 kids...

The way many of you reason ehn, it is like you are programmed for suffering and the delusion is strong with you lot. Suffering runs right in your very veins. undecided

You work 40-60 hours a week and only end up getting paid abject poverty wages - not even enough to live a week or two on. Rather than demand better pay, you think a better response would be to work more hours to earn more of the same abject poverty wages only to probably end up damaging your bodies and ending up with medical bills you cannot afford to pay? Na juju dem use do una these things? undecided

It doesn't work that way bro.

There will a consequential adjustment.
The Salary may be just 30% increase

Na so
The higher the salary the lesser the percentage increase.
Some might end up 12 % increase

i am curious to know the percentage increase on salaries henceforth especially of fed government workers. as the new minimum wage of #70000 has been approved by the fed. the old minimum wage was #30000, that is automatically 135percent increased.
does that systematically and mathematically means i.e, if your current salary is #100,000. you will now be earning #235,000, is that how it going to be?

Check with your company or your payslip....If 30k was your basic salary aside allowances..then add 40k to it ...that's your basic salary aside allowances=70k new basic salary

According to what someone told me, security and cleaners will earn 100% of the 70k, junior staff will earn 80% of the 70k. Senior staff will take 45% of of the 70k while management staff will take home 15% of the 70k

The forme was 30k and now 70k...do a maths to find out what percentage of growth is there from 30 to 70.... Wen u get the figure..

Then use the figure to do what percentage increase Is there on everyones fmr salaries..den u will get what d new salaries will b

Not so the percent will reduce in a graduating order. Meaning the higher you earned the less percentage increase you get.

Nothing like increase if you are already earning more than 70k.

The minimum is 70k, no employee is mandated to increase your salary if you are already earning above that.

Any increase would be at your employer’s discretion
Baba, have you heard of consequential adjustment before?

Increase of minimum wage will not solve the problem.

Rather genuine repentance will. The sin among the people is too much.

Dumb people are quick to call others dumb.
So in you mind like this, that's how consequential adjustment is calculated?
