Your university address is your German address until you enter into . The only exception is if you have family there, you can use their address instead.

The lead is PhD and you get MSc alongside right?

I know the German system does not do a direct PHD from bachelors. One of the reasons PHD was placed in CAT A is because it's research intensive and most PHDs in are on scholarship or employment. If you don't meet this criteria, nahh, you'll not be allowed

For the first question, you can ask the embassy and attach your ission letter where it's stated in the email you'll send. If it's not sponsored, I'm very sure they don't let it fly. Query them and see though . What's the worst case ? a No?

I recently completed my undergraduate studies with a CGPA of 4.02/5. I am preparing to apply to German universities for my master’s degree, and eventually pursue a PhD. Since requires a master’s degree before pursuing a PhD, I have several questions that I need clarified:

1. Do I need to gain ission first before funding my blocked ?
2. Can I use an MPOWER loan or any other online loan financing to fund the €8,000 required in my blocked ?
3. What do CAT A and CAT B mean? Are these categories related to securing a visa interview date?

Please kindly explain how the entire process works.

Pls I have a question? On the visa page there is a part that says if you start date has ed and you don't have AD you should cancel it. What should one do at that point. Thank you

Gaining ission is the first and most important. Reason been that without ission your visa request is not possible. You will not gain access into the Embassy/Consulate without without providing an ission letter from a university in . I will attach a checklist link below.
Secondly the amount to block is 11,208€ as of 2024 and not 8,000€. I don't know if you can use MPOWER loan but source of funds is usually verified.
Cat A and Cat B are related to securing Appointment at the Embassy in other to process your visa request.
Cat A:
holding a letter of ission for PHD studies or
holding a bachelor's degree with a grade of 1. Class issued no more than TWO years ago and having been accepted to a master's degree (also a DSH course-related ission to the master's program) or PhD study in or
holding a scholarship financed from German public funds or European ed funds for a study or a PhD in or
holding a signed “Aufnahmevereinbarung” / hosting agreement concerning your research fellowship with a university or research institute accepted by the “BAMF”.
Category A receives Appointment Date (AD) within 2-3 weeks of booking Appointment.
Category B:
For those that made 2.1, 2.2, etc... are in Category B. The waiting time is 18-21 months.

To get appointment under this category, you MUST wait over a year(officially stated in the consulate official website). Currently, it's informally concluded that waiting period is 16-20 months.

Hello. No body knows which month they are on for the Appointment date?

If your school allows the online package then you can do online and wait for your appointment, while you receive lectures.

But unfortunately most schools are scrapping it because the original purpose of the virtual class was due to COVID and COVID is over now .

Some schools are so strict that they would even state it clearly on their website that if you can't make it for either of the academic sessions (winter or summer) don't bother applying..

God knows the things Uni- Duisburg showed me last year....
