My guy. Don't do this now. You're comparing apples and oranges. Halaand's dad was a co-agent with Ravioli and got paid as that. This also isn't a new practice as footballers usually do this to either keep money in the family or as a way to get a family member paid. Victor Osimhen and a number or Nigerian players did this.

FIFA has however put an end to this as only licensed agents can be now get commissions during transfers. There's also a cap to how much they can get now. Everyone you listed above are those who should ideally get paid in a transfer; the club selling and the agents (Raiola and his dad).

No one has a problem with Amuneke getting paid in transfers, he however should not eat his cake and have it. He should as an agent and not take up any national team appointment so he can pursue this full-time. What he did in Nwakali's case is wrong.

When he is from their tribe he is innocent no matter what!

Replace Amunike with Salisu/Tinubu and see them come out with venom! Yeye!

We pretend too much on this section!

I never expected u to be a tribal bigot Bro

Replace that name with Oliseh or Someone else from south east and see that the likes of goodjoe and Chriskels will kick against it. This guys are Barcelona fans and they fancy attacking football Amunike claim to parade

Someone like me don't want indigenous coaches around super eagles for now

But the transfer he received is based on the 'development' he gave Nwakali as under 17 manager.

The academy gave him and the coaching crew the development fee because of their role on his development.
chrisooblog: 1:09pm On Mar 07, 2024
The role he performed was as a coach of the national u17 team which is a conflict of interest

You know this but why you're pretending only you can answer.

How is scouting the best talent he could get his hand on, nurturing the talent and the player becoming the best player of the competition, Nigeria winning the title and the player getting sold to a prime team a conflict of interest?

So he should have dropped the best talent? Let me know.

Charlesemeka, Chrisooblog, and others stood up for what is right and didn't take offense at my post. Defending someone who faces serious allegations just because he plays attacking football at the under-17 level is being dishonest! I say it as it is!
You can go through my posts on nairaland, I don't do tribal crap.

If he wanted to be a scout or agent he shouldn't have mixed it with coaching the cadet national team because whether it's true or not it will be hard not to argue that he influenced the selection of Nwakali into the u17 team for monetary gain.

Trying to bring up other issues of spotting talent is immaterial because he could have used his position of influence in selecting players from academy owners he was chummy with.

Like I said you know but hey whatever helps you sleep well at night.

My last word on this.

Amunike and his coaching crew did their job. The boy succeeded and the academy showed appreciation. Just as players going back to their coaches of old and giving them money to show appreciation.

So, what is the problem?

If it is base on appreciation, den I c nothing wrong with dt but if he asked 4 a certain amount of money because he groomed the talent as a Nigerian coach ,den dt is wrong..u can’t act as a coach /agent simultaneously

The article never said that. The article stated that the academy gave Amunike and his crew the 5% of the developmental fee to share. Simple.
