Hi, health practitioners in the house, i have osteonecrosis (grade 3) in both hips and will need a total hip replacement.

What is the cost of a total hip replacement here in Nigeria and best place to do such procedure.

It has been a terrible and horrific time of my life. The pains associated with this ailment is out of this world, I hardly do things on my own.
My mobility is limited, I hardly go out now except on a serious matter that requires my attention.
So, I depends on pain killer to ease it.
Prednisolone and felvin is what I have been using.

So sorry about yours too. As for me on the bike issue, I climb bike like a lady on mini skirt.
On the drugs, this is the combination I use-
In the morning- 2 prednisolone+ 2 felvin.
In the night - Repeat same.

Pain started 2 years ago, started limping 6 months ago. Pain became too much last week so i went for a scan and was diagnosed with the problem. One of my femural head has already started collapsing.

This problem started 2 yrs ago when i moved to Akeja (an area inside ogun state separated from Lagos by just a small bridge)

It became worst when i moved a bit deeper into Ogun state (Ota).

I’ve left Ota and now stay in Lagos. I feel like There is so many bad forces operating in that Ogun state.

Well pain from hip ain’t easy I must say I suffer from avascular necrosis of the hip, I did my right hip replacement in 2013 for 2m and now Im due for the left hip replacement which they’re charging 5m btw I manage the pain with antaglex and diclofenac it’s been really helpful I must say. Yesss oo, bad forces everywhere though.
In this my journey, I had been to many churches, Alfas, babalawos even the spiritualist all to no avail, I don't know.
Please, I don't know your beliefs, but try as much to be prayerful.
God is our strength.

Using a steroid with an NSAID is the fastest way to dying through a catastrophic bleeding stomach ulcer.

Steroids will eat away at your bones hastening the arthritis.

Maybe look at your senator,house of reps member, governor. See if that helps.
Get back to here if they say no so that we can shame them even more

So sorry my brother, that is how this ailment is.
My own femoral heads has degenerated completely according to the result of the CT scan. Hnmm, is not easy oo
Though this problem started when I was 39yrs, I'm 53yrs plus now.

Ladies make una rest

The drugs are working, the pain has magnificently reduced to the point that I don’t limp like i used to.

Only thing i noticed is that i now dream a lot and hallucinate right after waking up from a dream.

Today when i woke up from a dream i saw a big ass spider the size of an adult man’s hand grabbing a big ass cockroach . It was all hallucinations

For 14 years we have been (in the wilderness) preaching about HBOT. Many have cursed us and insulted us and crucified us (as they did to John the Baptist in the holy bible).
Some who cannot read one line a day continue to deceive suffering people and misguide them against hbot; while others clap and follow ignorantly.

Anyone carrying a diagnosis of avascular necrosis of a (knee, hip, shoulder) t or osteonecrosis please know that pain killers or steroids are not final solution. Although they can blunt your pain the drugs can not solve the original cause of the problems.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy -hbot is a suitable solution to avn, osteonecrosis, and some degenerative diseases. HBOT needs to be used to halt bone damage. HBOT can increase blood and oxygen supply to the ts to improve healing.

Without enough oxygen the bones continue to die off (necrosis) The most undesirable treatment will be t replacement.

He said i should stop any drugs, if I’m to take anything it should be Panadol, Paracetamol and be using a walker.

Have you done the surgery?
If no you should look at national orthopedic hospital Enugu. They are specialists in cases like this. As of December last year cost of hip replacement was between 2.5m -3m

I did a replacement surgery there but mine was on my knee and tibia it was replaced
