Minor spoilers:

First of all, this episode connects to the very first scene in episode 1 of this season and actually gives more context to it...

It shows what the meaning of a man is in this medieval period....how Vikings see a man as those who fight for honour and pride...how they carve this belief into their bodies and it along to their loved ones and descendants.

While in episode 1 it is portrayed as if it's something glorified and something of honour, this episode shows the cost of this way of life through the life and family of Gardar


Gardar's viking way cost him his family, his child Hjalti and his wife, Arnheid.
Because he chose to fight for wealth, honour, pride and glory, he left behind his wife and child and failed to see how his actions affected them until they all paid the price for his actions.

He understood and wished he could change the past, make different choices. And now he swore to never leave them again, but it's way too late.

It is crazy how the author/mangaka could make out such a great message with a story about the side character of Arnheid.

It was a compelling end to the story of Gardar, a man whose viking way of life had cost him all he had...and destroyed his family and those around him.

Fighting senseless wars for honour, wealth, pride and glory, is it worth the cost of your family?

I was reading My Home Hero and you know how scanlator sometimes put some humorously edited pages at the end of the chapter? Well, in this one, the scanlator was complaining about some of the terrible comments that readers were leaving about the main character's 18-year-old daughter.

I just finished watching American Psycho for the first time and I have to ask, how has nobody commented on the similarities between these two men? They both monologue about their daily routines for self care that they follow meticulously. They both place high importance on blending into normal society while they act on their urges in secret.

It's actually something that I've noticed.
Kira does his stretches before bed whole Patrick Bateman does his 1000 ab crunches.

Patrick Bateman keeps getting mistaken for other guys at his work place because they all look the same and have the same haircut while Kira uses changes his face to look the same as another office worker dude.

Both of them know women who actually seem like them for who they are but are incapable of responding in kind due to their messed up minds. However, both also happen not to kill these women either.

Both of them have interesting encounters with stray cats.

The manga is pretty good. It's grounded and realistic and it never seems like the mc is a super-genius or anything like that
