To add to all that has been well stated. Some Banks open their Dom with minimum of 50dollars and seems Polaris bank minimum of 25dollars |

My dollar under Access bank was opened for free. Someone sent me dollar straight to my naira and bank automatically opened a dollar for me I think 1 dollar was deducted from from the funds dat was all.

Acidosis:yes I could access the funds through my mobile app, but the first time I went to de bank to withdraw the actually verified the b4 I could withdraw that is adding a photo and signature to de but no charges at all. Note: I can only make dollar to dollar transactions. No dollar to naira transaction. |

yemmit90: Lol. I am curious too. If there is anything I believe happened - someone sent him dollar via some other medium and probably they didn’t have cash or a particular dollar denomination. So they had to open a dorm immediately to receive the inflow. But that they sent dollars to his Naira ? Oh well, I would love to try that out.

Acidosis: The money wasn’t sent to yur Naira . Dollars cannot be sent to your Naira . What you did was cash pickup- World Remit most likely. IANAGI: Still possible. The wasn’t entirely FOC. When inflow is guaranteed or already available like in your case, protocols would be broken. However, if there is already a current in place, you wouldn’t need to regularize. 1 Like |

pocohantas: Yeah, I know about the cash pick up. Did that a few times and got the CBN N500 "gift" upon withdrawal. I couldn't explain the bank alert I got in $ as well on a Naira . Well I wouldn't call it a Naira 'cos my typical balance in Naira was not displayed. I would create time to visit the bank sha. |

Acidosis: USD can be sent to A Naira . The system automatically creates a dom for your Naira and its linked to your BVN. So when you go to your bank to withdraw they will ask for your ID and ask you to regularize the ( fill opening form/ provide port photo/ provide proof of residency aka nepa bill) after which you can withdraw.
