All the Moroccan players dropped deep to help the defense and midfield and maintain their defensive formation..

The S.E does not have a defensive formation and if they do then the S.E players don't have the discipline to obey and maintain it.

The S.E lose matches because players don't press and drop deep to help the defense and midfield..

If you remove Aribo, Moses Simon and Chukwueze.. you'll see a different Super Eagles..

S.E will thrash this Belgian team if they play the way the Moroccans play.. SE has faster attackers that will reach the through es Ziyech was giving..

Oya I have marked it and brought it up now again in the light of yesterday's results. This is what happens when you don't calm down to reason out football takes before your drop them.

Capper Faby.
I had already countered this post with my post to AndSunGorilla. I said they will defeat Qatar cos Qatar is the worst team at this tournament.
Beating Qatar should not be a thing to be proud nor chest beating for. So rest and stop being childish!

yup, if I was a betting man I’d have staked on Morocco win. If Batshuayi, Verthogen and Toby can be starting for you in 2022 then I’m not sure you are ready for the World Cup. The only reason why they haven’t been thrown out is because Canada didn’t take their chances

Hmmm... true

Na past glory I dey use look them sha

With your full chest, could you have predicted a win for morocco today?

Anybody who follow football form to gamble will surely stake Morocco to win

Anybody who follow names and past glory will stake Belgium

Oga Rest! You flunked. Own it and stop acting like an immature sore loser.

Today is for my Morocco not for your sore bickerings over a poorly thought statement punctuated by "MARK THIS POST".

Also, wetin concern me with AndSunGorilla when it was me you quoted directly to say that nonsense. Mister, Rest and own your blunders.

I made emphasizes on this some time ago but many here are still living in the past and failed to realize that football hv evolved

The number 10 role is dead and gone, what coaches of this generation use is CAM which is more like a CM and not the traditional number 10/schemer

Coaches now appreciates energetic and fast players most especially in the midfield and attack
Dead but probably not gone. Football evolves. You'd be surprised to see the return of the 10 some years down the line though I doubt it because the atmosphere for developing 10s is not just there.

This no 10 issue confuses me. At least Kevin de bruyne, Eriksson etc are playmakers.
I don't think they can ever disappear. They may just be reinvented to be faster and more defensively aware.
Playmakers cannot and will not end. They are too fundamental to football. They will just be named something else but basically do the same thing such as
Create chances for the forwards
Dominate the midfield
Create ing options
Retain possession etc
Abeg they are the basis of football. They just have different names and their style changes.
Even modern strikers have to be more mobile and help in defence and midfield.

Of all the North African teams their skin seems more darkened than the rest and they actually do see themselves as Africans. At a time say about 12years ago they wanted to ECOWAS.

Ghana and Senegal still have a chance of qualifying.

Senegal, maybe. Ghana?, I highly doubt it, but this World Cup is one of surprises, so let's watch and see.

JP better find ballers in all positions
I don't agree with this notion. I have not seen one number 10, that cannot beat a player one on one. Teams just want their number 10 to add tackling to their game. Modric, Debryne, Iwobi, Erikson, Pedri, Dejong, Mount, Odegaard, etc still plays the number 10 role.
What is becoming extinct is a DM that can't the ball nor beat a player!

Ghana can beat South Korea if they come out to play without being fearless. Uruguay are also not that good. They just have ionate players and Suarez,Cavani and Godin are all past their prime.

Much respect for Morocco today, no question. They really came out to play today. But let’s not forget that this is an aging Belgium team that even got outplayed by team Canada, despite the score line.

Bottom line, let’s not go overboard yet. This isn’t the 2018 Belgium team. But all in all, a good result for Morocco. And it’s very well deserved too, because Morocco was the better team throughout the game. Let’s hope this result inspires the other African teams. Good things happen when you don’t play with fear. Let’s hope that we’ll see, at a minimum, too African teams making it to the knockout stages.

Waiting for Icon79 and every other person who wrote off My Morocco to come and apologise!!!!

I have told you before and now you are seeing parts of the reason I Stan Moroccan football.

The Atlas Lions is the tactically sound and balanced team I want My Super Eagles to become. Fearless, disciplined and creative in transitions. Thing is we have a deeper pool to pick from but we are selecting rubbish.

My Moroccan boys have proven me right.

Up the Atlas Lions!!! AFRICA'S TRUE PRIDE IN QATAR

Canada have a good team. They topped their continental qualifying table ahead of USA and Mexico. They are currently beating Croatia 1-0.

This Belgium team might just end up being one of the most overrated golden generation of the decade... De Bryune was right .they are getting old...
Congratulations to Morocco... I've often said that they have one of the best team on the continent..They just have a knack of not living up to expectations... Perhaps this is their chance to change it...

You see that 'ion' you mentioned? Sometimes that's all it takes to win a football match.

Another thing is you should never ever count out Suarez and Cavani. I don't care how old they are. Cavani's movement alone is enough to make any world class defender look like an amateur. Those two can rip any defense apart. There's also a certain Darwin Nunez.

Ghana really have a lot on their plate.

I'm sorry, but when it gets to a point when the coach needs a tactically sound assistant for him to perform, then he isn't good enough...
The man had excellent player management skills though, I'll give him that..but tactically,he no sabi...
Peserio is the same...

Yup. Watching the game right now. Canada has definitely impressed me so far. They were supposed to get results from the Belgium game, if not for the bad officiating along with the penalty miss.
