Scan the generic blue paper you were given and send and explain to them that you were not given a reason so the reason is unknown to you.

I'm having same issue with University of Northumbria. I presented my court affidavit but they insist i get a letter of attestation from my schools. In my case, I did a name addition which is detailed in the affidavit but they won't budge.
