In my case I went there like a week earlier to submit my documents but on the day of capturing, I notice that you can do that on your capturing day. Just make sure that your documents are intact to avoid disappointment. It's not necessary you submit the originals, the photocopies will do.


Lastly, no matter how early you get there some people will be there before you. I got there on 06:50am I was on number 121. I will be there again on November 3 because I have issue to resolve. Oshogbo is one of the commands suitable for DIY because they didnt prejudice me when i met with the officers. And I even used the moment to sensitize the people I met regards the amount I paid and how I did it on my own. They were surprised an wished they can get refund from their agents, lol. Information is life.

And now i want to do a new one in my own full name, won’t it give issues? And also is it true that i have to use a nigerian birth certificate to do a new one or i can just use the birth certificate of where i was born?

Go a day before the capturing. Sort your files and find somewhere to sleep due to distance and go the second day for capturing.

Even if you want to fast track, you have to capture first.

After capturing, then you can fast track it because from Nov to January is too close for you to collect it.

So immediately after capturing, do fast tracking. The person can help but i can't guarantee anyone.

To think the official price for a 5 years 64 pages port for Lagos, Abuja and Rivers state only is 35k and she overcharged you, yet she is yet to deliver. If I were you, I would be calling her to return the extra money else you will walk up to their PCO to report her. A lady here changed it for one of them and she got her money back. There is no fast track in your case any more, you don turn DIY. You can visit their office to know the status of your application while asking for a refund from the thieving agent.

You can do everything same day IF you don't have any issues or challenges during documentation and verification. I submitted and had my capturing same day

No they didn't confirm the original, I didn't went with my original copies all were photocopies, all the forms I printed were in black and white, I will advise you have at least 2 copies each of all your documents.

Which year did your mother did the Nigeria port for you in her name ? If is this e-port biometric era then you will need to visit NIS head quarter Abuja and you a change of name.
