I rescheduled twice because of a public holiday. First May, 2, and then May 3. I was later told that I shouldn't have rescheduled, that there is a new circular that they should capture during public holidays. I'm basing my assumption on that.

Everything in Nigeria will stress you. If you know you need your port urgently, don't go thru the DIY route else, you might be frustrated.
Finally got my port 2months after Capturing.
Had to sort someone to Fast-track before I could collect it.
Took just 5days after payment. Again, give yourself between 3/6 months if you want to go thru DIY route.

This thread was created to help people obtain their ports the right way and do away with the wickedness of immigration officials who are deliberately maligning the system.
The minister of interior has tried to help, various times on this thread people have posted the anti corruption help line for use.
If you go to the port office and are struggling, take the name of the officer and call the anti corruption helpline to complain right there on the spot and see what happens.
If anyone wants to wait for 1 year for port what is your business? How does it affect the money in your ?

Also this is a lie from the bottomless pit of hell because port payments expire in 1 year and nobody has ever waited 1 year for a port. What sort of fear tactic is this?

You are part of the problem why DIY will not work. If there are going to be 100 Applicants in a day, if even 80 go for diy on days 1 to 7, things will change. As the days go by, even the 100 applicants will become diy. As long as there are elements with aiding participants been the people applying for port that continue to sabotage a system, it will not stop. Why is it not so brazen in the north?
The immigration official has no right to withold international port from anyone.
Even on twitter, although it is hard to get their attention due to various tweets but if you send a complaint to the official NIS name and get a reply, your port will come out. Alot of people have been helped. Get the name of the person terrorizing you in that office and call the helpline or tweet at them. It is working. Slowly but surely one might say.

If you sure you entered the right numbers then try again in a weeks time. Probably they've not ed the current state of your port process.

I live in North America,to renew my Naija port has been a war.Even with begging to pay extra.Do you think most people like to bribe their way out?Hell No!
Immigration officers are one of the biggest crooks we have in this country.
I had to fly into Nigeria with an expired port.Before I came in,checked online to do DIY in Lagos and next capturing date was a day before I am to travel back.Even though I will be spending 5 weeks in Naija.So if I had done DIY,when will I get my new International port?Spend 2 more months in Naija abi?Even though I want to wait,I won’t get it.
These guys intentionally frustrate DIY.

Arrived Naija and made some connections.Did NIN in Lagos,got to Ilorin,NIN became invalid.I was scammed.Had to pay for another NIN,paid to get captured in 2 weeks and paid to get my renews port in another 2 weeks.Making 4 weeks in total.
Cost of flight to and fro Ilorin was about 120k.
Do you think I love to spend extravagantly?No!Do I have a choice,No.
This is Nigeria for you and most Nig embassies abroad.

Just spoke to an IO now,dude was telling me if I need renewal quickly for a family friend I want to process,I should not try DIY.That it will take roughly 5 months after capturing before I can get it.Guess what?We had to do the “rub my palm while I rub yours way”

IO don’t have power over date of capturing,is what the system pull out they will give you.
To get the port is where they have all their powers.That’s where they make money from.
People are leaving Nigeria daily.Whonisnready to wait for another 6 months just to process port that ain’t certain you will get on the day you were told to come back.
They will frustrate you will come back another.

That’s same set of filks quoting you will be departing from international Airport,they will still drop some token to the Officials there.

When I arrived Naija with my expired port,those guys wanted to extort me,I showed them shege.Why?That is my country,I have power at that moment.They can’t arrest or detain me.Ors very legal to arrive in your home country with an expired port.
Applying for renewal,they have got the power.Had to settle them.
No one likes to give bribe or rub palm.Its about situation.Knowing your strength and weakness.

Look at the way they are handling PVC.If you are a business person and want a better Nigeria.You leave your store 3 days consecutively to get it and always bounce back with no machine or stupid flimsy excuses.
Won’t you rather pay 1k and get it than losing bigger amount due to business closure?

The same March I tried to apply,capturing was until May.Day by day,capturing dates keeps getting extended.

If you apply tomorrow and choose Alausa,capturing is until August 2022.

Same story, captured 07/04/22 and since then all I’ve been getting is no booklet.
