Your balance as at the date you re printing the statement is termed as opening balance.

I don't think this person printed from the day the money was deposited. How did I know this? I printed a test sample of my pof 3days after money was deposited into my , and its showing my "Opening Balance" (amount that was). I think that is where the problem is. You statement might not show when the money was deposited, but your Opening Balance will tell that a huge amount was deposited.. I don't know if I'm making sense..

In 2006, I applied for UK visa (it was done on my behalf by my step brother) I was refused on the basis of funds and maybe other reasons that I am not privy to.

My worry now is that I want to apply for study visa using correct information this time around and I plan to declare my refusals.
I am not sure how to answer the question "have you ever given false information when applying for a visa, leave to enter or leave to remain"

Even tho it’s been a long time, the information about your step brother being your dad was false.
Answer truthfully because they would find out and I don’t see it as a reason for them to not give you visa.

few days ke? Do you know what’s in their system? Are you ready to receive 10 years ban if you provide conflicting information? Kindly do a SAR request or follow the earlier link suggested to you. Until you receive that, you should not apply for a visa…
You said the ECO detected the information of your bro.. what did they detect? What was written in the refusal letter
You also go on to say in 2006 you were refused for reason A and maybe other things you dnt know.. until you know your correct information, you should not apply.

Maybe because it's a brand new with little or no transaction history prior to the 10M deposit. But I'm not sure they can know that or can they?

You need to know full details of what was stated in previous application including any ban you may or may not have served

This details will help establish whether it will affect your visa application and yes it could affect.Get your information all handy and make a decision

Tbh, I don't think the date the statement was printed matters, if UKVI wants to know the source they will ask, whether you print 2 days or a month after.

Don’t also print from the date the money was deposited too, to avoid getting any mail to explain the funds.

Even if you do this, your opening balance on any given date is the total amount in your prior
