They came in around 9am, first thing is they get your appointment page and your NIN, after that you are directed to an office where your files will be arranged for you then you proceed to approval for renewal but fresh will first get a confirmation then proceed to approval and it’s done in different places , don’t know if it’s just for kids...


Presently in approval stage, they seems to be delaying their purposely here cos have been here for almost 30mins now, yet to get my file and I need my old port for my daughter’s approval and it’s with those doing approval....

Was asked for marriage certificate at my child approval section even though I will be debating it when I get back since am here with her mother and also can’t a divorced father get a port for his daughter ? That is what am dragging with them as I didn’t come with any marriage certificate ....

Please, Is Abeokuta office among offices issuing 10 years?

Good morning sir/ ma,I got an offer from my aunty in UK to travel and she told me to get her my port and leave the rest process for her.The problem I am facing now is that I don't have port and I want to ask what and how am going to get it.Am working in a company that build and sell swimming pool and am the one that goes to immigration officer office at Ikeja to do their return every month.The officer told me to go and bring 40k.my question now is that what are the documents I should get ready before giving the officer?

General Documents required for interview:
Standard port
Local Government letter of identification.
Birth certificate / age declaration.
2 recent colour port photographs
Guarantor's form sworn to before a commissioner of Oaths / Magistrate / High Court Judge
Parents' letter of consent for minors under 16 years
Marriage certificate where applicable
Police report incase of lost port
Submit application with ing documents to port office / Embassy / High commission

2) After picking your file at Servicom, did you write your name anywhere while wait for your turn to be captured?
3) Were you given an enrollment slip that has your collection date?

As per the deliberate delays, it's an extortion strategy to frustrate you and make you settle them since their "cut" has been byed by DIY method!

2) Servicom only helped with arrangement, I took my file everywhere it’s meant to go I.e confirmation and approval but I finally took it back to Servicom ... So I didn’t write any name down...
3) I was give enrollment slip with number but no collection date... not sure of any one getting collection date

Final Note: Except you have a sure link, don’t pay any officer for fast track because the system is now difficult to beat except for top ranking officers, I heard many officers whose client were on their neck for fast tracking discussing on how they have been ignoring their calls as they was nothing to do

A similar incident occurred when I went for my filing/confirmation/kids approval. A man was visibly venting at the NIS officer for frustrating his port processing after paying above the official price for fast-track since 4months ago!!!

since you using an agent, he will most likely do the gurantor part for you. but get you state of origin and nin aswell.

VIP 3 is strictly for kids or kids with Adults who came for capturing, the adult who came with the kids captures immediately after the kids...

3) Yes that is what I will be doing as it’s the same thing that will be done at Servicom even if you go there... I will check as from 2week to 3weeks from now...

Met a woman with her hubby who paid 200k for both of them with their kids since last year, they are yet to get their port and the officer who they paid isn’t even around... Those who use agent are even in worst scenario, I saw a guy whose info was mis matched... NIN problem is the worst to get your sef into as many people had to go back due to it even though there is an NiN office there now but they charge exorbitant fees...

Try to get there early with photocopy of all your documents and approach the Servicom as you enter...

In the same shoe, please while filling the form do I use miss or Mrs,while using my maiden name. Using my husband's name for the kids

u need your marriage certificate yes. But forget about that rubbish about you must bear your husband’s surname. That is a lie.
Lots of women are still answering their maiden names and travel with their kids and are certainly not flight risks or whatever.

Yes it is not compulsory to change your bame on port
If you are DIY, to apply with your kids you must do change of name affidavit and newspaper change of name just to show relationship with ur children otherwise u go sleep there.
So if you end up doing the 3 changes, why dnt u just apply with your married name or let your husband go with them + his NIN.

Captured for port since November 2021 at Benin Office, yet to get my port. Was at their office this morning, they said they are currently printing September and October that I should be patient they will soon enter November. Honestly I don tire...Benin Office don turn something else. 5 months going 6 months yet no port in sight.

I didn't do DIY. I paid 45k to an officer, that was recommended to me.

better put pressure on your officer so you can pay for Fasttracking. Otherwise see you see next year
