IF you urgently need to travel especially with all going on I advise you send port directly to Accra or Egypt. It took 6weeks for my port to be returned. However, if not in a rush Lagos or Abuja VAC is fine.

I booked a medical appointment at IOM and I wanted to transfer the slot to my wife for upfront medicals because I already got another appointment at Q-life. I sent them an email to this effect and they said it is not possible to swap appointments. Has anyone every swapped appointments successfully under IOM?

Can we ignore their email and show up on the appointment date?

I’d say paper unless you’re very accustomed to your keyboard and have enough experience taking computer exams. Every second counts in ielts and you don’t want to waste any of it fiddling

Very normal, that's how IRCC used to do nowadays

You could send another one though as well as a direct mail to your VO attaching the required docs: IMM0008, IMM5406, Int port data page, Birth Cert, port photo, updated POF, application fee for baby and medicals.

People swap their medical appointment with random strangers they don't even know, how much more someone that's your better half, your wife.? Have you forgotten you and your wife are now one.? You don't even need to send them that email, just go there with her and let her have your slot... No issues!

I sent my port to Lagos vfs on 15th of last month. They acknowledged with the code on 18th, up till now its still in transit. What do I do pls? Must they take 6 weeks? Nigerian factor in everything Nigerian.

But how does one do this? Will they have other necessary information like the biometric info at the Ghana office without input from Lagos VFS?

Thanks. Nothing to be done than to wait. It could be earlier some people got theirs in 4weeks though.

Don't think they need that. The slip one submit is for transmitting the port if the vfs you did your biometrics is where intend submitting your port. Other necessary info is what you will include in the package you are sending. They don't need any input from Lagos.

Nothing to be done but wait out the 6 weeks.

Just focus on flight , arranging accommodation and documents like DRiver Lisence and cv preparation .

I got an email asking me to Police Certificate from each country/state where I (the primary applicant) and my spouse have resided for six months or longer since the age of 18. We ed original documents of our various police reports when we first submitted our application so I am not sure if this request is for a new set of police reports or for us to re-ed the police reports we already have?
