How long did it take the US to pacify Iraq in the Iraq war?
The fundamental difference was they used massive airstrikes night and day with NO concern for civilian population. They had no problem destroying all the civilian infrastructure like power refineries etc
They had softened Iraq before the war with years of a no fly zone, air strikes and Iraq had NO AIR DEFENCE
If Ukraine is destroyed and falls to Russia .Russia would have to pay for the reconstruction

It took nearly a month to pacify a country that was under sanctions with no friends and no weapon supply

Here Russia is going to have to live with these people as neighbours and is making a show of minimizing civilian casualties
If Russia had used airstrikes killing civilians everyone would criticize them now they are acting humanely you say they are not strong
