Hello guys, is it a compulsory/mandatory step for wes to send back official documents received to issuing schools for verification or its a selective process. I was thinking once wes receive the official docs directly from the issuing institution, evaluation begins. I wonder whats the essence of sending an official copy in the first place if wes will send it back for verification.

I will advice you go to your school. Ask the person in charge for the correct email address.

Then send it to Wes. Telling them that is the correct email address Incase they sent it to the wrong one because your school still hasn't received any mail

Hi Allen. If you know someone in the uniben exams and records office, tell them to assist you. U may need to pay. I attended uniben, so I know the process is hectic.

Can you tell me the process on how to start WES USA evaluation for a Masters program in US? Do I need to submit my transcript and certificate only on the WES website? What documents does my undergrad university need to send? I am a bit confused.

I have a similar issue, WES sent my document to Esut since November 2017 and till now nothing, i sent a friend to confirm and they provided me with a tracking number but the number hasn't worked on any of courier sites they asked me to check on, i have written wes countles times and they replying i have nothing to worry about except waiting for my to confirm..

I just came across this thread now. Mine, officially is 2 years + but still not ready. Hopefully in few weeks. Majority of Nigerian universities are good in frustrating someone. Even the university application, I wanted to do with it, lost the opportunity, but I do hope and pray for better opportunities once ready.

NB: It is not same school with yours, but only wanted to let you know that, you are not the only one experiencing this sh*t when it comes to document verification between WES and most Nigerian Universities.

Yes WES will accept the notification of result. They accepted mine not up to a month ago

You will the student copy from your WES portal yourself, it will be made available there

WES evaluation, after they have received all the required documents, is not up to 7 working days

The above were the prices I paid around August last year I think.

You need your WES reference number along side photocopy of your Statement of result.

Which year did you graduate? If your certificate is not ready you'll need to pay 2k (1k for ND, 1K for HND) so they can give you "to whom letter" to replace your diploma certificate because WES will ask.

I am currently in this situation. in my case, I did not get any email from wes. I had to check on my app to get notified. I really do not know what wes means by "we are completing a research on your institution's accreditation and your program of study". I attended AAU and they are very accredited. I am super confused and do not know what to do anymore. I have been going back on forth for months and it is very frustrating. I called my school and they said they have never encountered that issue before.

Verification of Results and Certified True Copy of Certificate: What’s the Difference, Their Uses, and How Do they Get Processed in OAU and UI?
Let me make this clear in one sentence that verification of results is not the same as certified true copy of certificate, and they do not do the same thing when it comes to seeking employment, ission or scholarship; while verification of results means that an institution has sent your academic transcripts to your school you got the qualification from, asking your school to that your transcripts were indeed sent by them, and that your results in the transcripts are correct, a certified true copy of your certificate would mean that an institution or a body is asking your school to confirm the genuineness of your certificate. Using the standard and modus operandi of OAU and UI, Verification of results is initiated by your requesting institution by sending a request for verification to your school, you pay some money to your school, do some leg works (or have someone do these for you), and your school replies to the request by ing that your transcripts are genuine and the results in them are correct. Using the standard and modus operandi of OAU and UI, a certified true copy of your certificate is produced by your school’s Exams and Records stamping and g a coloured copy of your certificate and sending it to the requesting body; this would mean to the requesting body that your school has confirmed to them that your certificate is genuine.
