Firstly, it is not her fault that her parents broke up, so I find ur usage of the word "dysfunctional family" a bit segregating. If your parents were divorced I am sure you wouldn't want people to use such term for you, so stop that.

Secondly, you saw her fashion preference before approaching her, not like she started after the relationship. If she was able to compromise and stop using them because she loves you, why can't you compromise and allow her to do some things as well?

some men willingly put themselves into a serious problem. I have. A similar case like that sometimes ago. Her mother is also a single mother with all her children with her . I tried to unite my girl with the father but it was difficult. I left her when I realized that she is not someone I can control. She is always get annoyed for a little thing. Never happy except when she is in need of money. I tried a lot for her in term of monetary assistance. I bought two sewing machine for her. With some other needs in her shop.
