bobkezel: People have actually harvested young virgins private parts and organs for money rituals and testifying. Should I also be concerned about the scientific method? In Calabar, people have sacrificed new born twins to ward off evil spirits and testifying. Scientific method? People have harvested hunchback organs for whatever reasons and testifying. Scientific reasons? People have mutilated new born babies and call them Abiku; Ogbanje. Voodoo in any form and practice is a primitive and backward practice that stands science on its head. If you believe animal sacrifice ward off termites, you will believe anything!!! 5 Likes |

KolaShangOne: So it is the Nigerian factor then. But that theory that the trees are not straight does not hold water. That same crooked tree will be exported to China or and it will be cut perfectly straight to size. There is something as a people. We're largely not thorough, diligent and regards best practice as too much work. Short cut and quick money is ingrained in most of us. 4 Likes |

diordaves: This is so wrong though. Would sawmillers sell crooked and substandard woods if some people are not buying them? Well we are different though. I knew what I want and I paid the price. Meanwhile there’s Julius Berger AFP for those who want best of naija woods 3 Likes 1 Share |

This posts reminds me of when my dad used to be a contractor with JB and Costain. He was supplying them with woods, I would hear him begging his guys to ensure they follow the exact specifications on the job order... Sometimes the woods are rejected during delivery whenever the QC spots any inconsistency. However, these companies paid price for the quality they desire. n3xt: 2 Likes |

n3xt: I don’t agree with you sha. Any market that I enter in Los Angeles, be it Home Depot, Lowe’s, Orchards I’m guaranteed great lumber. I shouldn’t have to go to a specialty store to get what should be normal. This excuse is played out. Bring us quality, we’ll pay for it. 6 Likes |

seunpinky: Firms like Shell, Chevron, Julius Berger, Cappa d' Alberto are companies. They pay bucks for supplies. The ability to cut a wood straight is not a phenomenon if you are not Nigerian. It is the norm and simple practice. |
