Some customers insist I heavy games but I tell them the implications. GTA is not a heavy game but I don’t install it on fat.

RLOD is caused by hard drive (HDD) problems, often with the connection between the HDD and the motherboard of your PS3 fat which is in connection with the same heavy games I mentioned.

Sony released fat PS3 2006 while slim PS3 in 2009. You can’t say people that were using fat then were having issues before slim came out. If that should be the case, nobody would’ve patronized Sony PlayStation when slim was released in 2009.

I’m not trying to market for PlayStation oh. I’m just educating us on the difference btw fat, slim & super Slim & what can be done to maintain your console.

Secondly sir, PlayStation designed slim and then super Slim just to upgrade because there was\is a lot of competition in the game industry.

You can’t say Iphone released iPhone 8+ because iPhone 7+ Was having issues. No!

Please I have a PS3 extra fat. I bought it in 2007. It developed the RLOD problem in 2009/2010 thereabout and the repairer was clueless. Are there more technicians now who can repair it? If so where can I find them in Lag?

I don’t think there’s any remedy to that since someone has attempted to fix it and it didn’t work.

What they normally do is to put 1 or 2 ic to help boost the console.

The guy didn’t use any ics. My memory is a bit dim since this was a long time ago, 2009/2010. But I he used a heat gun and toothpaste. That was all. He was clueless. I never had time to take it to anyone else. YouTube didn’t really help much back then cos the videos I saw talked ing a hair dryer and covering the console with a thick towel or duvet to melt some metal plates in the system.

In some cases they put ic before heating and if there’s ic already, they just heat it & it’s not toothpaste they use
