Twitter needs Nigeria 1,000 times more than Nigeria needs Twitter.

And if any of the platforms refuse to comply with Nigerian law, they will be kicked out of the Nigerian market.

Now run along and go sing for your white master, little slaveboy.

Biggest middle class in Africa and biggest economy in Africa, with an annual GDP of 1.16 TRILLION dollars per annum, calculated by PPP (Purchasing Power Parity).

Twitter, by comparison, earned 1.2 billion dollars last year.

That is chicken change for top Nigerian business conglomerates, not to mention the Nigerian govt.

Twitter is shiit compared to Nigeria.

The world has gone far beyond this. Yes, Twitter would like to connect with the large number of enterprising youths in Nigeria but of what use is one istration to them? Soldier go, soldier comes, Twitter is still there? You forgot that Twitter completely took down the of a sitting US President. How did that affect their business? Where is that now? They just banned it for another 2 years. You may have forgotten that a section of the house has already asked Nigerians to continue to use Twitter.

Facebook rubbed salt on the injury when they deleted the same tweet government complained about. Please is FB not scared of Nigeria? And why has the government not banned FB?

In my opinion, what we have just done is cheap publicity for Twitter. When government lifts the ban you will see how many people will jump to have s, those that did nt even think of opening Twitter before now.

Facebook and Twitter make billions off Nigeria and only pays tax in the USA.
This is a good move.

Lol, there are so many companies abroad who hardly want anyone from Nigeria to access their site. You all should stop feeling important. FG ban Twitter yet Nigerians use VPN to access. Is that not enough to tell you that Nigeria need Twitter more.

What brand of weed are you smoking to tell such ridiculous lies? I won't even start on your absurd claims about Nigerian law, seeing as you don't have the first clue that it is Buhari's government breaking said law, not Twitter. Here's what the Nigerian constitution (which nobody is above) has to say.
39. (1) Every person shall be entitled to freedom of expression, including freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart ideas and information without interference.

(2) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1) of this section, every person shall be entitled to own, establish and operate any medium for the dissemination of information, ideas and opinions
And even if any of these social media companies had violated Nigerian law (which they haven't), the FG would still need to obtain a court injunction against them before imposing any restrictions on Nigerians, something this bunch of authoritarian incompetents hasn't even bothered to do.

How do these people think?
It means they will go and meet CAC and be ed, then it means they will be taxable right?

Lmao...

Very soon also, Google would have to be ed too and Yahoo.

Why starting what they can't finish?
All these are collateral damage to cover up the goof in the first place.
They never had Facebook and the rest in mind, but they had to extend it to them now in order for the action to look justifiable.

All this because you want to avenge the President whose tweet of terror was deleted?
