most people coming into trading forex enter it with a wrong mindset, its agreed there are endless opportunities in the market, but its difficult getting consistent profits in the market, only few traders make above 50 % of their trading capital consistently year in year out.

A guy in Benin took his time to put me through forex trading and told me abt how much i can gain by trading. I now asked him what wld be your gain in all this. He became so upset and was shouting. Someone that was convincing mr to drop abt 680k to buy forex robot and start trading ooo. He has even convicted me already na just God say make i ask that question.

The way he flared up when i asked the question i knew there was something shady abt the whole forex robot ish...

Years back when forex was the in thing. I had a guy that was training people. Collecting big money from them. But as I was close to him, he confided in me he had never traded with his own money. He only did demo trading. I asked why? He looked at me and asked if he looked deranged. Say him no fit try am. Lol

I have been following forex trading since 2009 n all those teaching me forex left forex to do the biz I do after I told them. Me I cannot keep pumping my money on what does not gurante a return in whatever form.

I have seen a boy of mine turn 200$ to 1500$ and then to 7000$ and then blow it all off on XAU/USD why ? He took heavier lots to maximize his gains and never used a stop loss and of course got a margin call

If you have 10000$ and u take a maximum 1 lot across all trades let’s say you suffer a draw down of -1000$ But then u have enough margin to stay in that trade even if it’s up to a year for it to retrace and put you back in the blue , imagine having a retail of 1000 and u suffer a draw down of even -500. , that’s half ur gone and if u no get mind na close with loss

I do not entirely agree with the op you can indeed make money on forex with a sizeable and strict risk management

The only thing I know about forex trading is based on the research I have done and information I have suggests that only a very small percentage of forex traders are actually profitable...the rest who are in the majority are busy chasing referral bonus, training fees, third party management etc.

It's mostly the failed ones that open threads on Nairaland trying to deceive people with the 'Audio money' they're making from forex trading eg Leonardemma1 etc
