It's confirmed. What you have is the 1st gen of the Laptop. To confirm, compare the pictures of the 6th gen with the 1st. The fingerprint scanner of the 1st is located below the up-down-left-right keys, while the 6th gen has its fingerprint scanner located below the PrtSc key.

It's actually a 6th gen core i5, not a 1st Gen.

BTW, generation of the U is what almost everyone uses in nairaland.

Her answer is correct and accurate, its a 6th gen core 5.

Also you pointing out that the laptop is a model 1, is also correct, as the first Thinkpad convertible X1 Yoga was made in 2016.... which by her U, is almost certainly the model of her laptop.

Now the model 6 of this laptop only came out this year and only a month or 2 ago, with an 11th gen U, so there is no realistic way she would be selling a model 6 unless she was crazy (retails like $2k methinks).

So in short, you are all right but madam is more correct than all of you (seeing as she followed your instructions) and did not try any mago mago.

Yes, this is exactly my plight here. The laptop is a first gen but the U is of 6th gen. No one understood this. I was ing my judgement based on hardware, but most failed to see my plight of which they are hellbent on software.
